Information -
The four elemental guardians are the hosts of a vast magical power that has existed Remnant and Earth thousands of years but also that they are the protectors of the four seasonal maidens. Their powers were derived from Willow.
Description -
There are four guardians in existence at any time, each corresponding to one of the four elementals - water, earth, fireand air.
Powers and abilities - Magic;
The power of the elemental guardians is magic and is independent of dust use and distinct from a semblance. It is not powered by aura and a guardian does not need aura to use their powers. The guardians are still able to use their semblance just like how the maidens are, but adding on with the power of the spirits, reminding them of their auras.
The guardians are able to use any elemental power they choose, not being eliminated to their elementals and some garden simply prefer certain elements over others.
The guardians are only able to use elemental magic as they were not given anything else when they first received the powers from the crystal pendants.
When guardians use their powers, their eyes become surrounded by a fiery glow that matches their aura color and their eyes turns from their original color into pure white, including achieving the marks on the parts of their body. Adding on, that when they used their powers, it comes from the powers of the spirits, just like the legend was told.
Guardians are capable of conjuring weapons comprised of the elements.
Vaults -
The guardians are also each tied to the vaults under the floor huntsman academies, which were created by Ozma to safeguard the relics and including the weapons for the guardians. However for the spirit for the guardian of the balance, is somewhere in the Ever After after Willow discover it. They, along with the maidens both act as keys, so nobody else can open the chambers that the relics are stored in.
Spring and water can both access the vault in Haven Academy.
Fall and fire can both access the vault in Beacon Academy.
Summer and earth can both access the vault in Shade Academy.
Winter and air can both access the vault in Atlas Academy.
Succession -
The powers of the guardians pass from host to host after the previous died from sickness in every 50 years or less upon the death of the current holder in the process that has been continuing for thousands of years. The guardians usually will pass away from their own sickness as a curse for whoever has chose to be as a guardian for neither is they accomplished their goals or not. The exact method through which the power chooses its next host is not fully understand, but mostly pendants mostly do. Under normal circumstances, the next guardian, who is always neither a young man or a young woman, is the last person that the previous guardian holds in their thoughts and through the pendant before the person passes away. This system apparently ensures that no one person can hold the power forever next to the maidens.
