Appearance - Diego was a male white tiger-based faunus with pale blue eyes, white complexion and wild black and white hair. His faunus trait manifested as in extra pair of ears and his body was adorned with numerous tattoos resembling tiger stripes. He wore two golden earrings on his left white tiger ear and he wears a homemade golden wedding band that he created for himself and for his beloved wife before they got married and he stills wears it when he's on his mission.
Clothing - Diego wears an open-collared, one-sleeved long overcoat and which is tucked in and zipped. The sleeve covers Diego's left arm with a faux leather brown armband, leaving his entire right arm, consequently exposed and he wears his wristband on his right wrist.
Personality - According to Sonya, Diego liked to sing, swim and hunt and he had a very level head. He taught Sonya all of these things and many songs as well. He was well-liked all over Mistral and Vale, his wife even had fall in love with him after he stole her heart with all of his possible things and including his most powerful strength that he ever have since birth but never had weapons.
In addition of being a loving father, Diego also seemed to have a rebellious streak and was brawn type of character, one of the traits inherited by his only daughter. For example, his work and career as a hunter and gather in the woods was technically illegal, although the relatively the rules of Remnant officials allowed it as they were among in many things of the food chains and knowing what is right for their people.

Biography/history -
Years ago, Diego was accepted into Beacon Academy instead of Haven Academy for unknown reasons to become Huntsman.
At some point, team CRIM and STRQ both found out about the secrets of Ozpin and Mulan's own abilities, their own longevity and Salem's existence.
At some point later in life, Diego entered a relationship with Sienna, the two having a daughter, Sonya Khan. According to Sonya, her father loved her family and her friends and will do anything to make all of their dreams to happen and because of that, he and his wife both became the lieutenants of Ghira, the high leader of the White Fang and served him, meanwhile Diego has other missions to do as Huntsman. Until one day, he had found out about what Rinka had done by sending an army of the White Fang to annihilate their own kind along with a humans and Diego managed to find them. Because of this, after what he told his wife, Ghira, Rinka's grandmother and the other chieftains about everything of what he discovered and they banished Rinka for her actions but much worse than anyone has ever done.
Diego was said to have had the good nature in him, just like his daughter it was claimed that even if the birds would stop listening when he sang the song. That was how he impressed Sienna and their lives were considerably different and it was a big chance for both of them to move on to their new life. He even taught his daughter how to swim in the lake, how to sing and how to hunt. Diego was a proficient hunter, lieutenant and Huntsman and he knew how to identify plants that were edible and those that weren't. He had crafted about four bows and had taught himself and Sonya how to hunt.
At some point, Diego and Cindo both encountered Salem where Summer told her that she'd be stopped if she could not be killed. This encounter was memorable enough for Salem to remember her words and alliance with Summer, Diego and Cindo.
In a flashback of volume five, Diego and Sienna were both reading a story to their daughter a couple of fairy tales about the girl who fell through the world and the sun warriors and put her to bed. Once done, Diego left Sonya the old bow and arrow that he made for her well they were both hunting, prepared to leave, only to met his wife. Diego explained he was going on a mission with a few of friends of his, the two of them both hugged and he finally left.
Truthfully, however, Diego had gone out to Vale but almost close to Patch and arrived right on time to meet Raven, Erika, Cindo, Summer and with a little Bree, Raven teasingly making amusement of her old friends actually lying, though even asked if they were all right with leaving their own families. Unamused and with a bit anger, Diego growled at Raven for that she has no right to say such a thing and got a lot of nerve for her to say that after what she did, while agreeing with Summer and Cindo, flustering Raven. Raven did opened up a portal where the four left elsewhere except Erika and her daughter, with Summer, Diego and Cindo proclaiming they'll be back.
When Sonya was still young, her father went on a mission together with a few friends of his and he never came back. Specific details surrounding his fate that undisclosed or unknown. According to Qrow and Erika, the mission in question was Summer, Diego and Cindo's secrets and even Ozpin seemed in the dark about their disappearance. According to Sonya, she was likely too young to be able to fully comprehended what had happened, though she and her mother were all grief-stricken.
Sienna didn't handle the news nearly as well as her own daughter; Sonya said that her mother was simply "shut down". And because of that, Sienna became workaholic, refusing to listen to her daughter's pleas and abandoned her after she became the new high leader of the White Fang, but later regretting that she left her daughter all alone for after all these years.
