We reached assembly next day. That day a smaller number of leads were there, even few demi gods and priests were missing. First half was quick, but something felt off that day. After a very minimal time interval the second shift started earlier.
That was the first case when I experienced the scary side of lord. One middle-aged man reached for his evaluation. "You foolish man." the Lord spoke, his voice like thunder, "you have lived a life of selfishness and greed, using your gifts and talents only for your own gain. You have neglected the needs of others and ignored the plight of those less fortunate than yourself. How do you answer for your actions?" He trembled before the Lord, knowing that he had done wrong. He had always put his own desires above the needs of others, never stopping to consider the consequences of his actions.
"I am truly sorry, Lord, but" he said, his voice shaking. "I am blind to the harm I caused, but I am willing to accept any punishment you see fit." The Lord looked upon him with a mixture of sadness and disappointment.
Lord: "Did you even know why you are in heaven instead of hell? You are brought here only because of the good deeds and virtues of your parents. Do you remember when they forced you to go to a pilgrimage place and you took three dips in the holy Ganges river once, because of that you became eligible to come to heaven."
Lord declared. "You will be stripped of your wealth and your status, and you will be forced to live among the poor and marginalized, where you will learn the value of compassion and selflessness. You will have the opportunity to make amends for your wrongdoing and to earn back the blessings that you have squandered. You will be sent back to the mortal realm and there you need to use your time on earth to make amends and to live a life of service to others."
After a few cases, my name was called again, but I was informed that due to certain unfortunate events my case was overlooked. Necessary arrangements will be made so that you can get response to your request as soon as possible. The meeting that day ended earlier than expected. We left from there and after my attendant left for some extra work, I decided to go near the ocean.
The sun was moving towards the horizon. As I walked along the beach, I could feel the warm sand between my toes and felt the salty breeze in my hair. As the wings were causing balance issues I decided to disappear those. The waves gently lapping at the shore, their soothing rhythm a balm for my weary soul. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply, feeling the stress of the day melt away. A group of children gathered on the beach, their laughter and shouts mingling with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. They had been playing for hours, chasing each other and building sandcastles. A group of roaming couples gathered on the beach. The ocean breeze carried the salty scent of the waves and the sound of the gulls as they settled into their circle, hands clasped together in anticipation.
As I walked further down the beach, I noticed a figure in the distance, standing at the water's edge. As I drew closer, I saw that it was a man. He was staring out at the ocean, his eyes fixed on something in the distance. I approached him cautiously, not wanting to interrupt his reverie. But as I drew near, he turned to me and smiled.
"Hello," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
I smiled back and introduced myself. "I'm just out for a walk," I said. "I love the beaches. What about you?"
He raised an eyebrow, "Oh is it?, And why do you like it so much?"
I: "I really like the touch of the cold breeze on my face that flows over the ocean surface."
He leaned in closer and smirked, "That sounds good. Do you come there often?"
I: "No, I came to heaven a few days back and I came to know about the beach yesterday."
