Y/N POV
"Alastor!" I ran towards the body of my love, screaming as tears violently fell from my eyes. My legs gave out when I reached him, causing me to fall at his side. I noticed the large gash across his chest and screamed for help. I lifted his head into my lap, sobbing rivers.
"Alastor please... please stay with me!" I begged through my sobs, hearing voices around outside, "you promised me! Yo-you promised me that you'd do e-everything to make sure we didn't get hurt! Y-you promised..." I leaned my head down to his, connecting our foreheads, my tears falling into his soft red hair.
I heard footsteps enter the broken part of the building and looked up, my eyes falling on Lucifer. "Please..." I begged him, "please help him... help me..." he gave me a sympathetic look and walked towards me. He placed a hand on my shoulder and kneeled next to me.
"Y/N... he was struck by Adam..." he spoke to me softly, as if he feared upsetting me further. "I can help him, but... just know that there could be a chance he doesn't make it..."
I looked at the rising and falling of Alastor's chest, his breathing growing more shallow the longer nothing was being done. I looked back to Lucifer, "do everything you can to help him live, even if he may not make it... I can't not try.." he gave me a nod and placed a hand on both me and Alastor. Red spirals engulfed the three of us and we appeared in a large bedroom.
The walls were a dark red, a black trim around it engraved with apples painted gold. There was a door a few feet from the bed, assumingly a bathroom, and the flooring was soft black carpet. A small seating area was in front of the large canopy bed. Two black nightstands were on either side of the bed, their handles snapped like little gold apples, a small radio and a clock sat on one of them. There were two chairs positioned opposite to each other in front of a decently sized fireplace. There were a few bookshelves placed around the room, filled with books of all types.
Lucifer had me remove Alastor's shirt and instructed me to sit on one of the cushioned chairs at the fireplace. I did as I was told, worried that if I stayed beside Alastor I may ruin something. I brought my legs to my chest and hugged them tightly, burying my face between them as I silently cried. There was no guarantee that this could work, but I had to try. I had to hope it would. If I didn't, I knew I would regret it.
I had no clue of how much time had passed, but I had crying so much I eventually passed out in the chair I sat in. A hand planted itself on my shoulder and I jolted awake, praying that when I turned to see who it was, it would be my Alastor. But when I lifted my head, it was only Lucifer telling me he had finished doing what he could.
"I was able to mend the damage as best as I could, he'll have a scar there permanently, but," he gave me a sad look, "he's in a coma. He should wake up anywhere from a week to two months, but that's the best I could do."
"Thank you..." my voice was hoarse, barely audible. But he nodded at my words, seeming to have understood what I tried to say. He left the room and I brought the chair I was once in to the side of the bed. I sat down in it and put my upper half over the bed, taking Alastor's hand in mine. I watched his sleeping body, missing our conversations, our jokes, the times we sang together. I longed to hear his voice again.
His face still held that smile of his, although this one was very very faint. Stubborn about letting that smile fall, even if he was in a coma. I stared at his face for what could have been hours, hoping I would watch his eyes open and I would see those beautiful crimson eyes of his. My hand squeezed his three times, "I love you, Alastor... please.. come back to me soon.." I sniveled, hoping he would sweets my hand back four times.
I waited, but it never came. Tears would fall from my eyes for long periods of time and then stop, only to start up again. The more I wished for him to do anything but just lay there, still as a rock, the heavier my eyes felt. Eventually, I passed out by his side. Tears still fell from my eyes, even as I slept.
~~~~~~~~
Days melted into each other. It all felt the same. I had barely left Alastor's side the entire time. While they worked on rebuilding the hotel, Lucifer had everyone staying at the palace. Everyone would come in, ask me if I was okay, ask me if I had eaten or drank anything, and then leave. I barely ate, and when I did it was only enough to ensure I wouldn't die from starvation, the same following with staying hydrated.
Today was just like any other day. I sat in the chair next to my sleeping Alastor, holding his hand and humming a small tune for him to listen to, if he could even hear it. He always enjoyed when I sang for him, but any time I tried to do anything more than a hum, tears flooded my eyes and my voice wouldn't come through. I hummed the last bit and kissed his hand feeling a hand hesitantly touch my shoulder.
"Y/N..." I looked up to my father's worried expression. A short grunt came from me in response, calling for him to continue. "Sweet ace... I'm worried about you. You haven't been eating, you're barely sleeping, you haven't showered in days... I know it's hard, but you have to take care of yourself."
"How? How can I bring myself to be away from him longer than five minutes?" He brought his hand to my head and rubbed the side of it, "what if I do one of those things and when I come back, he's..." my father brought me into a hug, returning it only with my free arm.
"I'll watch him, kid. Please... go take a shadower, eat a proper meal, and when you come back I'll tell you everything that happened while you were gone. Sound fair?" I gave him a stunted nod and stood up, leaning over Alastor's body and placing a small kiss on his forehead.
I looked at my dad and moved away from the chair, allowing him to take my place. "I'll be back soon, please come and get me if something happens." He gave me a smile and nodded, taking a seat in the chair. I walked to the dresser and grabbed a pair of clothes Lucifer supplied to me and walked into the bathroom for a quick shower.
The warm water had felt nice. Doing wonder to clean all of the dirt and blood that was glued to my body from the fight with the angels. I wasn't sure how long I was in there for, but it felt nice to be clean. Dressing myself quickly and walking to my father, staring at Alastor as I did so. "Has he moved at all?"
He shook his head softly, "afraid not sweetheart. I'll keep an eye on him, go get yourself something to eat." I hesitantly left the room and did my best to navigate to the kitchen. All of the meals I had picked at were brought to me, so I wasn't exactly sure of how to get there. Startled when I felt someone wrap their arms around me. I looked at the arms that were wrapped around me and recognized them as Angel's.
"I'm happy to see you leaving the room toots," he didn't put me down, but turned me so I was facing him. "How ya holdin' up?"
"Best as I can... can you help me find the kitchen? Dad wants me to eat something and I'm not really sure where it is." He gave me a smile and started carrying me towards what I assumed was the direction of the kitchen. "Angel, I can walk, it's okay."
"Hush pretty kitty, let daddy Angel take care of ya." The nickname he gave himself made me laugh, it was the first time I had smiled in a while. Technically, if everything went good with him and my dad I would have two fathers. So, he wasn't exactly wrong. I hadn't thought of it before, but I would mind calling Angel my other dad.
