A life beyond insanity (Kaiman x reader)

Back at the restaurant, Kaiman had finally stopped arguing with me.

We seem to pick at fight at even the smallest things. When the lizard man began to say that I look ugly in that dress, looking like a stupid sorcerer, I kicked his knee to shut him up.

"So Nikaido is stupid to you?"

"What are you talking about?" Pretend that he didn't know, I looked away, "You what she is and still you deny it."

"She is not using her powers, so she is human to me."

I caught his attention, as I slapped my hand against his chest, "I have no powers!"

"Still...you look ugly..." I stopped him before we reached the restaurant, standing before the door. Kaiman seems to be irritated, as my hand didn't leave his chest, "Like what you feel?" I wasn't aware that my fingers went over his broad chest, feeling a large bump where his nipple is supposed to be, "What are those?"

"Meat balls"

"I never heard that one before."

"They are real meat balls..." he said, pushing my hand away, "...you are just jealous."

"Jealous of you?"

He nodded, "of course, if I had real breast, I would look better with them than you."

"We are not starting this argument again"

Crossing his arms before his chest, he snorted, "Says the one with little mosquito bites." He was winding me up, knowing it gets to me. They are a normal size for a woman, so why am I even getting angry at him? Going through the door, I smelled the air.

"Did someone burn something?"

Kaiman sniffed too, "The smell of burned food isn't a good thing for a restaurant."

"No kidding smart ass"

"Hey keep my ass out of this!"

Before it turned to another pointless discussion about our body parts, we heard someone moan out in pain. Kirion was hidden behind a wardrobe, still pinned to the wall. While Kaiman got the knives out, I asked her what happened. But the lizard man had no patience to wait, running upstairs. Kirion explained it to me alone, "The cleaners were here, they found Nikaido. They took her away."

"Where did they go? Please tell me Kirion."

She couldn't remember, her memories were all mixed up, form the pain and fear she had to witness. That I heard Kaiman yelled out Nikaido's name means trouble. It got worse, once he was back in the kitchen, shaking Kirion violently, "Where is Nikaido?! Answer me!!!"

"Stop it Kaiman, she doesn't know!" Pulling on his arms was useless; he was way too strong for me. Kirion was whimpering loud, as the pain only got worse. "You are hurting her!!!!" I cried out. Hearing me sob got his attention. Kaiman moved his head in my direction, seeing me grab on to his arm, "Please...stop..." Still feeling angry inside, he released Kirion. I didn't expect him to wrap his arms around me, while rubbing my back. Not a single word came from his lips, just the feeling of his hand hold me tight. I know how much Nikaido means to him, but it was not the right time to act without thinking straight. Form the lizard man that is taking my last bits of nerves, he can actually be nice too. Carrying me upstairs, he sat me onto his lap. His arm didn't leave my waist, as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

He sighted, "Sorry...I overreacted."

"We can find her together Kaiman...I am sure we..."

"No!"

Kaiman didn't want my support; neither does he want me to stay in this world any longer, "It is best for you to go back to Hole. Once you there, go straight to the hospital and stay there till I return."

"You're joking right? Nikaido is also my friend, I want to help you Kaiman."

His eyes turned dark making his face looked scary, "I am not kidding here N/A. You are going back...and that's final."

"And how you genius? Kirion, you and I are no sorcerers" That was true, but the person they needed wasn't too far off, in fact...he just entered the restaurant himself. Kaiman panicked as the owner stood before them, "You!" Getting of the lizard man's lap, I had to see him getting a right punch into stomach, cowering on the floor in pain. Tanba was furious, "Who in the right mind fills up bottles with piss?! We almost served them to customers!"

"I am sorry, I am sorry boss!" The lizard man had to hide his spikes for the abusive restaurant owner. Tanba however, was glad to see me save and sound...unlike another woman. The reason he returned, wasn't because of the bottle incident, but more of the rumors that is spread around the garden party. He informed us on what is going on right now, "While you two left, two customers came over to the van, talking about the return of the time sorcerer and guess what...it is Nikaido. En's henchmen took her back to his mansion. Did you know that she is the partner of En?" Kaiman doesn't really remember much about this anymore; it has been too long ago. I remembered that she said something about it, but the main problem was...how do we get her back? The moment I asked Tanba on how it can be done, Kaiman interrupted me, "I said you are not going. Tanba, get her back to Hole."

The owner got confused, "But didn't you come here to hide her?"

"The ones that hunted her down are back in this world..." leaning over to Tanba, he whispered into his ear, "I don't want her to get harmed."

"You know, it wouldn't be so bad to say it out loud"

Curious, I asked them what he was on about, only to get a snappy answer from Kaiman, "I said I don't want to drag your lazy ass around!" Tanba slapped his head frustrated, as I got closer to the lizard man, "Says the big baby in a dress!" Like a pair of kids, thought the owner. Anyhow, he understood Kaiman's feelings, using his smoke to make a door appear. I panicked, "I am not going!"

"Oh yes you will!" The lizard man grabbed me by the waist, lifting me up like I weight nothing. On the other side of the portal, he placed me on the ground, "Be a good girl and get your ass to the hospital" Like a stubborn child, I held on to his leg, getting dragged along while he moved, "Get off me!"

"Please take me with you!"

Kaiman needed a few minutes, while Tanba had to watch the scene from the other side. Like a leech I grabbed on to him. The lizard man might be strong, but not enough to remove me from me, "N/A, don't make it harder than it already is... ow...let go!" To make sure he give up soon, I grabbed anything in reach.

The owner began to feel amused by the sight, "See Kaiman...she likes you too."

"Shut up...Ahhh!!!"
