Re-Creator of Universes - Book 4 of Re-Forge

Steve and Hymie were in the Auto kitchen of Adara's apartment. Adara asked: "What is this 'Greatest food in the known universe' that you want me to try before the Supernova shockwave hits us?"

Steve said: "Adara, you had better brace yourself for this. The other day, I noted that Eden added Earth desserts to the 'Premium menu'. I tried it, and it is better than any ice cream I remember tasting on Earth. I want you to eat an ice cream cone with Hymie and me. I mean, what is a relationship for if we can't share our cherished experiences?"

Hymie nodded in agreement when Adara looked at him in askance. He nodded again, and Adara said: "Okay, send one my way." She looked at both men and thought: "They seem to be back to normal, but without the nonstop joke making." Then she thought: "Hymie really doesn't look lovesick when he looks at me."

She asked: "Hymie, are you okay that Steve and I are together?"

Hymie nodded, and both Adara and Steve kept staring at him until the pregnant pause forced Hymie to speak. He said: "Jesus Adara, just let it go. I'm so embarrassed about my behaviour back then. I have my soul mate in your mother, and I have no idea why I felt that way toward you. You're my stepdaughter. Let's never talk about it again... Ever."

Adara looked at him oddly and Thought: "I wonder, 'B' Sharp?' Did you..."

'B' Sharp replied into her mind: "Of course, I gave his desire a tiny push away from you, just enough to cloud that feeling, so he still feels healthy love for you, without the physical attraction. I didn't really need to because you are evolving to suit Steve. Anyway, Hymie is a goner for your Mum. So, no harm was done."

Adara thought: "But the rules."

'B' Sharp thought: "Those rules are for everyone else except you, dummy. Like it or not, we are joined at the brain, unbreakably, and forever. Wherever you go in the future you must take me, not physically as me here on the table in the conference room, but inside you. We are now a two in one deal, literally. If you look deep inside, you will see it. Your Bio-Electro-Mechanical-Nanite DNA is completely infused with my crystal particles."

Adara thought: "Are you saying that I'm now, telepathic?"

'B' Sharp sent: "What's mine is yours. Into the future, 'if we have one.' I will teach you how to open a real universe that others can only dream about."

Adara had a horrible thought: "Can you drive me like a transport vehicle, 'B' Sharp? Oh, God."

'B' Sharp sent: "That is a baseless fear Adara. Your 'Will' is far too powerful for that. Besides, how rude to do such a thing. Please, never try to do it to me. It would be a definite 'breaking of our trust."

Adara thought: "Of course, I understand... Thank you."

Adara returned her focus outside, both Steve and Hymie were staring at her. Then Steve asked: "Where have you been?"

Adara apologised then added: "Talking with 'B' Sharp. We are joined telepathically at the brain. Oh yes, Hymie, my apologies. What you inferred, is not what I meant when I asked. You should never feel embarrassed because your condition was Storm's fault. Ask her, and she will explain."

"The question I asked was... 'do you feel okay' with me being in a relationship with your best friend... I mean... with me being your daughter?"

Hymie took her hand and gave it to Steve in one fluid motion, then replied: "I know this man as if we are joined at the hip. Best mates become that way after more than five hundred years of friendship and hardship. There is no man more suitable for you in my eyes."
