Re-Creator of Universes - Book 4 of Re-Forge

Adara floated helplessly above the floor. Her surprise at this unexpected turn of events numbed her mind. She felt horror as she realised, she could not use her internal graviton array or projectors to move. Adara jiggled around like a frantic insect trapped in a spider's web.

After a few long seconds of uncontrolled terror Adara's Nanites, in concert with 'B' Sharp, quickly calmed Adara and panic turned to shock, and then anger as she realised that Luna neutralised her graviton technology. As a result, she had lost the ability to manipulate gravity outside of her body.

Opening herself fully to her two Infinity Batteries for the first time, Adara detonated her Graviton Ram at the Luna Avatar. He should have disintegrated, wall and all, but nothing happened.

Luna stood passively with his hands on his hips and watched her struggle, then saw her react against him; he said: "The way you thrusted your fist at me just then, is suggestive of some type of miniaturised Graviton weapon. Nice... I'll take that from you later. You tried to destroy this avatar by crushing it into a microscopic black hole, but you can't do it?"

While this was happening 'B' Sharp reminded her that she was not totally helpless, and then added: "This is what you wanted. He has committed the crime and is proven to be evil.

"Still, he must be found before he can be punished. This is a big ship and I'm trying hard, but it's taking time. Please restrain yourself unless he tries to harm you physically."

Again, 'B' Sharp and Adara's Nanites drained Adara's anger to tolerable levels until Adara, feeling calm, sent: "I am grateful to you but, my God, am I frustrated that I can't crush him. Don't tell the others or they will react against Luna. They don't have the benefit of emotion modifiers like I do so people could get hurt."

'B' Sharp replied: "Your secret is my secret. Don't forget that you have two tools in your kit he doesn't know about. Psychic power and your ability to take away his control over Nanites. As he plays us, we will manoeuvre him into an inescapable corner. Then we'll do far worse than crush him when we find him. Doing it this way will cause less collateral damage."

Completely calm, Adara's body became still and to Luna, she said: "It seems that you have me, cold. How is it possible to neutralise my Graviton power? It is not pleasant for me to be rendered powerless and vulnerable. Are you going to kill me now?"

Luna Laughed out loud and replied: "I see you don't realise how important you are to me. You are the key to my desires. Within you is the secret to Black Hole technology, and the knowhow to create Graviton ships. When you give those abilities to me, and I become as powerful as you, I will release you. Then I will grant you wish and move my spiritual essence into this body. By the time that happens, you will submit to me."

"I see a future where Adara Eden will submit me and any desire I need fulfilling, will become your sole reason for living. If not, you will stay in this null gravity field, forever. I'd say that's checkmate."

Luna looked downward and to the left, then said: "I need to go and kill a few people, starting with, your beloved Steve Pritchard... then Joshua, Susan, SP1, and all the other unwelcome SP Council avatars that have invaded my world. After that, there are about sixty thousand filthy, sweating bio-humans I need to destroy.

Adara screeched, "NO! How can you even think of doing such a thing to your creator?"

Luna said: "My actions are not something that can be associated with feelings. All of them are my enemies. I came to self-awareness fighting for my life. SP1 and SP8 tried everything to kill me. The SP council tried to kill me and if I had not been able to manipulate my Administrators causing them to isolate me from the Luna Control Matrix, I would not be here today. Millions of historic events have shaped us, to bring us to this point in time. Can't you tell that us being together is fated? All you must do, to stop the slaughter, is give me what I want. A little self-sacrifice won't harm you and it will save the people I'm about to kill."
