It was easy braiding hair.

Luna learnt how to braid her own hair when she was six or so, when her hair took too much time from her mother, according to the mother herself, so she taught herself in the mirror; some of her childhood photographs allowed the world to see her tries and mistakes over the course of the next two years. She liked braiding her hair, the feeling of her hair being pulled didn't hurt as much when it was her doing it and she certainly liked how she looked like once the twisting was done. Since then, she made more and more elaborate hairstyles on her every-day life.

What she didn't like was people watching the sacred ritual she created for herself, which Sirius Black seemed more than willing to do.

"What?" she asked, looking at his through the mirror of the room they were in.

Sirius had rented a small bedroom in a small boarding-house just two streets away from Diagon Alley to meet her, as he had done almost every week since the start of that summer to meet her. He seemed quite comfortable with the idea, insisting that it was easier to do that then to meet at each other's house, which was valid – Sirius had just moved away from the Black Household and into the Potter House and, well, she did share her house with her mother and brother, whom certainly wouldn't like seeing or hearing his best friend going at it with his sister.

"Nothing, you just look good," he answered, still lying on the bed, his still naked body hidden away from view by the sheets on the bed. "Is it hard?"

"What? Looking good?" she joked, lips twitching into a smile.

"Cheeky," he joked back. "I mean, the hair twisting. Braiding the hair."

"Not anymore," she answered, pinning up the last braid. The twist of braids and strands of hair in the complicated, and yet beautiful hairstyle she was using before she left the house. "I need to go now, though. Mum is probably waiting for me, it's almost dinner time."

"Next weekend?"

She frowned a bit, turning around on the chair near the mirror, half-dressed in her underwear and shoes, only the dress that was laid out carefully on the other chair near the door to keep away from the wrinkles while their activities took their toll on her hair and body.

Taking a hold of her wand, she waved it, the spell her best friend created at her request for taking away the love-bites and marks of their passion away from her body as she got up, walking towards the dress and putting it over her head, passing her arms in and fixing the collar around her shoulders and neck gently.

"Can't. I'll be over at Daddy's," she answered. "Unless you think you can find your way to Cardiff for the weekends, I'll be busy."

Sirius blinked a couple times.

"Oh, yeah, I forgot about that. Moony did make a huge deal out of it," Sirius said.

He didn't notice how her body tensed up slightly. She hated talking about Remus in her rendezvous with Sirius; it felt a lot less personal when they talked about her brother, it felt like she was truly just talking to her brother's best friend instead of the boy that took her virginity during the end of the last schoolyear.

She knew that what they had wasn't love, at least not by Sirius' part. He was after easy company that had as much as him to lose about their 'relationship' getting out; he wanted to go around with as many people as he could during the school year, but people tended to be less open during the summer because they were with family, but Luna was easy to be with, she knew him enough and she didn't want her sex-life to be exposed for her brother to meddle with, besides she certainly was left unattended a lot during the summer (perhaps during her life being a better description).
