Dannys POV
Green blood dripped down my chin as the cuts healed everytime the clock ticked. I curled up around Clockwork, mostly hidden by his cloak, but still with my ear pressed againts his chest.
I hummed a lullaby to help Clockwork calm down, only quieting (but still not stopping) once Clockworks own core was signing with me. I stayed safe and warm in Clockworks arms, content to let him fuss over me and hold me close.
I knew how angsty cores got when it came to protection, my obsesssion was protection after all so I knew better than anyone the urge to never stop circling Amity Park, to curl up around it and protect protectproTECTPROTECTPRO-
And mama ghosts do not mess around when you harm their children, Frostbite had explained it well, it was the same feeling I got about his fraid sometimes, Sam, Tuker, and Jazz, how I needed to protect them. And haunts, once I knew enough about haunts to really solidify that Amity Park was my haunt I understood how nitpicky the other ghosts got about their haunts.
And Clockwork was very much a mama ghost, mama ghost as in as in, a ghost who had adopted a ghostling, not as in a ghost who was a female and had a child. I was Ellies mama, and Clockwork was mine. After all, I might be powerful but I was still an infant in ghost standards.
I stayed wrapped around Clockwork as he stared down the cultists who'd tried to enslave me as the ghost king, there were some heros here too I think. Whatever, dad was here now...

We hadn't managed to stop the summoning, and I already regreted showing up sober, I suppose negation and all but still. Everyone knew not to mess with the Infinite Realms, and those who knew mroe about it (like me unfortunately) knew that ghosts with ghostlings were protective to say that least. And considering that that was the Dead God of Time going absoultely feral at the cultists who had summoned the High King of the Infinte Realms (who was also the Dead God of Space) who was apparently his kid. Nice.
Someone get me a fucking drink.
