Helluva Boss (OC Insert)

The scene opens to Cassi's apartment as Cassi is walking in the hallway towards the kitchen when she hears something from Loona's room. She gets curious and places her ear next to the door as she hears Loona's voice behind the door.

Loona: "*muffled* Come on! Where is it?! I could have sworn it's in here-!"

Cassi: "*knocks on the door gently* Uh, sweetie, everything ok in there?"

Loona: "*muffled* Fuck- Yeah! I'm good! Nothing to worry about!"

Cassi: "Ok...? Anyway, I'm heading to the kitchen to make dinner. *turns to walk away* I'll call for you when dinner's-"

Loona: "*opens the door* Actually... Can I ask you something real quick?"

Cassi: "Oh, sure. *turns back around to face Loona* What is it?"

The scene then cuts to Cassi's bedroom as she is standing on her bed, reaching for something on a shelf. She pulls out a box and hops back down on the floor and sets the box down.

Loona: "Are you sure it's in there?"

Cassi: "Of course it's in here, I love keeping momentos. And how could I forget your favorite doll?"

Cassi opens the box and the camera shows in the inside of the box. It shows a stuffed hellhound doll that looked slightly torn as some pictures are next to it on the side.

Loona: "Wait, you kept momentos?"

Cassi: "Yep! I remember that *pulls the doll out of the box* Howard the hellhound was your closest friend for a long time before I met you. *sighs happily* Memories."

Loona: "But... why?"

Cassi: "*chuckles* It holds the best moments I ever had in my life in Hell, come here."

She sits on the bed and motions Loona to sit down next to her on the bed. Loona does so before Cassi hands the doll over to Loona and begins to ask Loona something.

Cassi: "Did I ever tell you the reason why I adopted you in the first place?"

Loona: "No?"

Cassi: "Well, it was years ago when I was young back then and you were just a cute little pup. I've always wanted to start a family to call my own."

Flashback

The scene fades to Cassi's face changing from a happy one to a sad one. She sits in her new apartment alone as she looks around her new bedroom.

Cassi: "*narrates* I didn't have good connections with anyone or better yet, a friend to live with."

She looks over at the photo of her, her mom and her sister who were smiling together. Cassi sighs before she gets an idea and grabs her car keys before she walks out the door.

Cassi: "*narrates* So, I went to the only hellhound adoption center so I could find a friend to live with. And at that moment, is when I first met you."

It then cuts to the Hellhound Adoption Center before the camera fades to the inside where Cassi is staring at Child Loona.

Adoption Center Lady: "She'll be out of our hair next month when the doctors arrive. Good riddance, if you ask me. She'll never amount to anything much. *turns to walk away* May I offer you a preferable option?"

Cassi: "*shakes her head* Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, wait a minute. Why would she not be here anymore? She's just a kid!"

Adoption Center Lady: "It can't be helped. She's been in to many families before and has never lasted long in any of them. Now if you don't mind, I'll take you to the outside yard where you can observe each of the hellhounds we have."
