"She sounds mad," Jake replied with. I nodded and sighed, grabbing everything I brought and started walking towards the door. Without realising it Jake was right behind me. I was going to turn to say goodbye but I felt something knock into me. I turned around to see Jake.
"Well hello there!" I grinned, Jake then sighed.
"I was going to walk you home but then you abruptly stopped in the middle of the doorway," he muttered, I then smirked.
"So you're not going to walk me home then?"
"What? No. What the mayonnaise, of course I'm going to walk you home."
"True gentleman,"
"I try," I smiled slightly, walking out the door with Jake at my side. Felt like one of those awesome people who cooly walk away from explosions and whatnot, with a pair of sunnies on too.
Time skip:
After some small banter about some kind of cheese, we had arrived at the front door of my home. Nothing had tried to kill us on our trip here, so all was well! Except for maybe my mother, she probably had several heart attacks whilst I was out.
I knocked on the door, and the door flung open almost immediately.
"(F/n)!" My mother yelled. She looked like she was going to screech some profanities but then she saw Jake. "Uhm, I, who are you?" She asked sweetly, her voice wavering in pitch.
"I'm Jake, Jake English. Pleasure to meet you ma'am," he stuck out his hand for a handshake. She cautiously took it and shook it slightly.
"Ah, sorry. Should've guessed.. Hello Jake," she seemed as if she was shocked. "I, I'm sorry about my little outburst. I'm sure you took care of her, you seem responsible enough."
"I'm not a baby,"
"You're my baby,"
"I agree with your mother," Jake said, I then grinned.
"Flirting with me in front of my mother? Seems as if I should do the same," I said loudly, I could Jake smirk the smallest of smirks.
"Perhaps, with that lovely voice of yours it'd be a treat."
"Flatterer," I smiled at my mother, she was dead silent. She wasn't speaking, and Jake and I were smirking.
"How the fuck did you land him?" My mother deadpanned, and I burst out laughing. Jake doing the same.
"You make it sound like its a miracle! You see, I didn't land him. He landed me."
"She's a very lovely woman,"
"And I could say the same to you,"
"Are you calling m-"
"I'm saying that you'd look very pretty in a dress, not like you WOULD wear a dress. Like, I'd like to see that sometime."
"Well, for you maybe. Has to be a pretty dress though,"
"I'll pick it out personally, go to K-mart, got all the good shit there."
"True," I grinned at him, an he grinned at me. I then turned to my mother, she looked so confused. I then turned to Jake.
"Well, see you later!" I bowed to him and walked into my house, he smiled at me and waved, walking down and out of the driveway.
My mother closed the door behind me and set a hand on my shoulder. I looked up at her, I couldn't tell her expression.
"Please tell me I'm not drunk off my mind and that was real,"
