You would think as a intersex person I would be banished from church, but being a preachers kid it's nearly impossible. I'm Y/n or as I'm known around Houston sinners pk. Yeah people don't like our family to much, but God made me this way. I can't change his decision to make me this way.
"You know, God doesn't make mistakes." My dad said from behind the pew
"I thought he did when my wife died." He said taking a pause
I miss my mom everyday. My dad struggled for a while after she died. I was 16 when she died. Hurt me to my core, but you gotta keep going. We all know she is in a better place.
"My daughter and I went through a rough patch, we wouldn't talk to each other, and when we did seems like all we did was fight. We blamed each other, God, and anything else that seemed like a good reason to deflect from the truth." He said
"But God spoke to me, and who am I to turn away from him. So what I'm getting at is, if God take you through a storm that isn't the time to turn away. No. It's time to call on him to see you through." He said making the crowd give their praise
"Looking around I see people who have been through something and are here to make it through." He said making some people shout, but sitting here at these drums I see somebody I haven't seen in years
"Come on now let him hear you praise some more. Cause he got you out." He said making Shawn go crazy on the organ

"Y/n? I knew that was you on the drums, how you doing baby?" She said standing up making me go walk and hug her
"I'm better than I was." I said
"You'll be okay, you remember Solange and Beyoncé." She said turning her body to let me see the infamous Beyoncé and Solange
"How could she forget me, hey Chantel." Solange said being funny
"Hey piglet." I said matching her pettiness, she didn't have to say my middle name
"Hey Y/n." Beyoncé said making herself known
"Hey G." I said with a head nod
"Now, Y/n our superstar here has a great opportunity for you." My dad said
"What is it?" I said sitting down beside Ms.Knowles
"I need a drummer for my upcoming tour, and since we were back home for a while you came to mind. We were already planning on visiting the church so it just made sense." She said explaining herself
"Yeah I can see what I can do Hollywood." I said being a little petty
