I'm sorry this chapter took long to come out. I'm really not following my posting on chapters every week. But this is the final chapter of this book and then I move on to the next book. BTW the name of this chapter is the name of the next book of the Smiling Critters AU love story so keep an eye out. Alright onto the chapter.

Catnap

I looked at Bobby as she gave me a worried look. I'm also worried considering this is Bubba. He's a mysterious critter that I couldn't figure out much. Outside of his smart and thoughtful personality, there is so much he keeps to himself and it frustrates me.

"Our help? That doesn't sound like him," Bobby questioned. "I know that. He keeps a lot of secrets from us and I was one of the critters who actually got a glimpse of who he is. And this secret...," I took a small pause. Considering it became a bit dramatic for me to stop midway.

"It's best if we involve Dogday into this since me and him are his best bet," I said. "His best bet? What do you mean by that?" Bobby asked. "You'll see. HEY DOGDAY!" I called out. Dogday quickly came in and stopped beside me. "Is something wrong moonlight?" Dogday asked.

"Did you just...never mind. That's for later, for now you need to help me and Bobby with Bubba," I said. "Help with Bubba? What help does he need?" Dogday asked. "That's what I'm here to tell you both so pay close attention," I said.

They both look at me getting ready with what I'm about to say. "Bubba needs love advice. He has a crush on Kickin but those two have never bonded which is a major problem for Bubba," I said. They look at me with concerned faces. "Have they ever hung out when we were at the facility?" Dogday asked. "Bubba told me that they only hung out whenever Kickin should injure himself and Bubba would be the one to give him medical attention. That's as far as he told me," I answered.

"It's true," Bobby said. We looked at her. "I was there whenever that happened. They have small talks and exchange a bit of laughter but not much after that," Bobby said. We all think hard of what we can do but nothing so far. "I don't think there is anything we can do so far. For now, we can only hope for some type of miracle to happen between the two and Kickin feeling will blossom," Bobby said.

"Well you're the love expert. We'll go your way," Dogday said.

"How about this," I added. Both look at my direction. "How about we reveal our relationship to the others and maybe just maybe, Bubba won't feel like a confession to the same gender isn't so wrong," I said.

"That's...a good idea Catnap but are you sure about this. Don't you want to wait a couple of days until you're ready to open up?" Bobby asked.

"I think it's a great idea. I want everyone to know that me and Catnap are together," Dogday said. "But...," Dogday added. Me and Bobby looked at him. "We can't let Picky and Crafty reveal theirs or else it might be a whole problem for the other three including you Bobby. They might argue or guess who will end up with who and if Kickin says something that will provoke a heartbreak to Bubba, then Bubba will feel sad," Dogday said.

I was surprised to hear that Picky and Crafty are together considering I thought of that yesterday but I didn't jump to conclusion so I went through it. "Okay, I'll talk with Picky and Crafty about it and if it goes nicely, then everything should go on the right path," Bobby agreed. "Good, then we should tell everyone in about two hours. It's pretty early in the morning and it's best if everyone get their sleep," I reassured.

"Then it's a plan. I'll go to Picky and Crafty's house in an hour to plan ahead," Bobby said. I nodded and me and Dogday left outside of Bobby's house. "Guys," Bobby called out. We look behind to see what Bobby wants. "Congratulations on your relationship. I could see that both of you are happy with each other," Bobby commented. "We are Bobby. I'm happy that I've finally achieved the peace I wanted with Dogday. He makes me happy," I said.

"Aww, thank you Catnap," Dogday said. "You're welcome puppy," I complimented. His tail was wagging faster than I can imagine. He really likes the nickname I gave him. "We should go now Bobby. Thank you for helping us with our relationship and trying to help Bubba," I thanked her. "No problem Catnap. I'm glad to be part of this plan you did to help Bubba," Bobby said. We waved our paws to Bobby and walked to my home, holding paws.

"You know..." I began. Dogday looks at me, curious with what I have to say. "We should ask Bubba for any resources that'll help build our new home together," I said. I looked at him, "I really want to move in together, Dogday. You make me happy everyday and I want to wake up with you everyday as we are cuddling with each other. Shower you with love and affection even in your darkest days. I want to be the one who will comfort you the same way you comfort me after I die," I said. Dogday smiled at me as his cheeks were red. "Me too Catnap. I want that as well," Dogday agreed.

We arrived at my front porch. I looked at Dogday and gave him a kiss on the lips. It was a passionate and soft kiss. We pulled apart to catch our breaths. "I love you Dogday and I always will," I said. "I love you too Catnap. Forever and ever," Dogday said. We headed inside my house and sat on the couch, cuddling with each other. We embrace each other's comfort with every minute of the hour. We didn't realize but soon me and Dogday fell asleep on each other.

(One and a half-hour later)

I woke up, feeling a soft comfort on my lap and arms. I look down to see my puppy sleeping on me. I blushed and smiled. "How could I be so lucky? To think the person I hurted the most actually had feelings for me and forgave my action. I don't deserve him but he thinks otherwise. I'm the luckiest Cat," I thought. I checked the clock and it was around ten a.m. "We slept for an hour and a half. We should get going. It's almost time for us to reveal our relationship to the others," I thought.

I looked down and started to shake Dogday gently for him to wake up. "Hey puppy, wake up or else we're gonna be late," I said. Dogday slowly opened his eyes and looks at me. "Morning kitty," Dogday said. He gave me a small kiss on the cheek. "Morning puppy. We need to go now," I said. Dogday got up and I did as well. We left my house and met up with Bobby as well as the rest of the critters but someone is missing. It was Bubba which is weird because he was never the type to be late for a meeting.

"Where's Bubba?" I asked. The rest of the critters don't know. They all shrugged. My ears flicked as I heard movement from behind. I look behind and see Bubba walking towards us. "Sorry I'm late. I had some things to take care of," Bubba explained. He sat down with the rest of the critters while me and Dogday were still standing up.

"Okay everyone, I have some news for all of you to share," Dogday said. He sounded like a true leader with a perfect voice for drawing the other's attention. "Since yesterday, I would like to reveal that me and Catnap are together," Dogday revealed. The others didn't look surprised. I worried for their response based on how they are looking at us. Except for Bobby of course since she was the most excited when we told her. "That's all?" Kickin said. We look at him, confused by his response.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" I asked. I didn't sound mean or menacing, just giving out a cold tone. "Uhh, yeah, it's already obvious that both of y'all liked each other from the start. All of us were in agreement that both of you are going to start dating sooner or later," Kickin admitted. "He's right Catnap. I mean, we already saw the signs when we were back at the facility. We were already getting annoyed by both of you not confessing to each other," Hoppy jumped in.

Crafty, Picky and Kickin all nodded in agreement by Hoppy's response. "Well this is embarrassing," Dogday said. "You took the words out of my mouth Dogday," I said. "Well we're sorry for wasting everyone's time. We just want everyone to know about our relationship," Dogday apologized. "Don't worry about it Dogday, we just knew it from the start," Bobby lumped in. "Thank you Bobby. Now that's out of the way, let's all play for the rest of the day," Dogday said. Everyone agreed and they all left, leaving me and Bubba by ourselves.

I went with Bubba as I know I have some things to say. "Just so you know me, Dogday and Bobby are here to help you no matter what. That I can promise," I said. "Thank you Catnap. I really appreciate you for doing this for me. It means a lot," Bubba thanked. I nodded, "Come on, let's go with the others and sit by the trees," I invited. Bubba got up and we left to catch up with the others.
