Jade's POV

"Jade? Can I just stay here? For a bit?" Alex half slurred the words and all of a sudden his head fell back onto the armchair and his whole body went limp.

I didn't move for a whole half a minute, just waiting to see what he would do but he remained in the same spot, his eyes closed.

"A-Alex?" My voice confused and uncertain, not sure what just happened to him. I waited a little longer but then I realized that his even breathing meant he was asleep! In a second, he slumped down and was dead to the world.

Trying not to burst out in laughter, I approached him like he was a sleeping bear and gently touched his shoulder, shaking him only slightly.

Nothing. He was out like a light. Wow, I was living in some sort of alternate reality. This huge man with tattoos on his hands who kidnapped me and made me live in an isolated beach paradise, showed up at the door and fell asleep within minutes.

Looking around me as if the answer would be there, my eyes landed on him again, my brain working a mile a minute to figure out what to do with him. Just leave him here? He was tall and this chair was definitely too small for him to stay in for long. In a bit of turmoil about what to do, I decided that it would be best to move him but how and where?

The couch was too short and I only had one bed. Maybe I could walk him to the bed and then sleep on the couch if he didn't wake up before nightfall.

So I did. About twenty minutes after he was knocked out, I tried to rouse him.

"Alex." I whispered to him gently. Nothing. "Alex." I repeated a little louder. Still nada. "Alex." I spoke in my regular voice now but he only furrowed his eyebrows. It was a start. God, he was so big and the position was so awkward, he would have to walk and I would just support him. "Come on, come with me."

"Mmm." His deep voice answered me. "Mmm-mmm no." He grumbled and I couldn't even fight my giggles anymore. "No, I just- juss fo' a second." He half slurred again as my shaking of his shoulder became more severe.

I wrapped his giant arm over my shoulder and pulled him up and he obeyed, surprisingly, getting onto his feet, standing uncertainly with his eyes closed. Haphazardly, like walking a drunk or dead zombie, I managed to half push, half pull his strong and large body into the bedroom and gently push him onto the bed from where he slumped down, fully asleep. Wow.

Alex slept the rest of the afternoon, all evening, and the whole night which I spent tossing and turning on the couch under a throw blanket. Not knowing what to do about my unplanned visitor, I stood in the kitchen late the next morning and mixed ingredients to make pancakes.

"Good morning." A deep and unexpected voice startled me so much that I dropped the spoon into the batter, splashing the countertop and my face and chest.

"Jesus! Don't scare me like that, you psycho!" I accused him while catching a glimpse of his sleepy face and bed head. Somehow, he looked nothing like the man who greeted me here that first night. He didn't look like a kidnapper and the commanding dickhead that he presented himself as that evening. Instead, he was mellow and his smile was genuine.

Slowly, he came to sit down on one of the counter chairs and watched me like a hawk as I wiped all the splashes off the counter top.

"You have...you have batter right..." He slightly jutted out his chin and his eyes slowly zeroed in right on the spot where my white tank top met my skin. I looked down to see that the drops landed right on the top of my breasts.

"You can say it...my...boobs." I prompted him but had no idea why on earth I did! Everything about Alex made me want to push his buttons.

"On your chest." He deadpanned and I couldn't stop myself from laughing at how silly I made the whole situation. "You're something else, you know that?" He added in annoyance, but kept his eyes on me.
