"So..you wish for me to teach you the ways of the Amazon?"questioned Miguel as he stared with doubt at the female.

"Mhm.. please"

"You're a pet,you do not require these 'lessons',but since you asked nicely, I wouldn't mind helping.... your kind."

The spix grimaced at his choice of words, however recovered instantly from the more positive information,"So when do we start!?"

"Tomorrow at dawn,meet me in the far south of this jungle,"stated the elder macaw

"Alright, guess I'll go now,and tell your brother the good news!Goodbye brother!"shouted Dew as she took flight towards the city

"Brother...."the scarlet smiled after the word rolled off his tongue,"I wouldn't mind being family "

"LIPE!He agreed, Miguel agreed!"

"He did?"questioned the scarlet at the excited female practically bouncing on her step inside his small makeshift home.

"Well he didn't exactly say yes,he said alright but that counts,....so!...got any tips!?"beamed Dew.

"It takes years Dew,and we won't be here for long.You live in the city so it'll be of no use to someone like....."he stopped on his words

"Look,"he sighed,"What I mean is,you don't have to force yourself to train the ways of the Amazon when you've lived your whole life in the city! It'll be like.... putting a fish on dry land!"

"But we're from land and sky,not water,"she chimed with a smile still plastered on her face

"No,no,no, that's not what I..I mean,"noticing the look of dread on the spix he stopped on his tracks,"....fine... I'll give a few pieces of advice,"he gave up,"now remember,the most important asset you'll have in the jungle is your beak, always make use of when you can.Your tail ca...."

"Good, you're early,"stated the scarlet as Dew landed in front of him,"stop smiling,this is not a field trip."

"Oh,right away sir,"the spix stated as her smile fell.

"Do not expect me to be easy on you, understand?"

"Yes sir!"

"One more thing, don't call me sir, it sounds....old."

"Yes ....brother?"

"Good,"complimented the elder as they took flight towards the rising sun.

"This is umm...."

"A grove,"the elder finished her sentence

"I see that but why exactly are we here?"questioned the female as she glanced around the swampy grove

"I tried to find suitable training spots which resembled back home,this is the closest to a swamp"said the scarlet,"Now go cover yourself in mud until I can no longer see you

"Jewel have you seen Dew?"inquired Blu while perched near the open window.

"No,I haven't seen her since morning,"replied Jewel as she shuffled from the cozy blanket laid basket.

"Hmm,"the male flew towards the kitchen to find food only to find a whole bag of missing berries,"where are all the berries?"

"I can still see you cadet!"shouted Miguel,"close your eyes and don't even think of breathing!Be one with the Earth!"

Dew sank herself deeper not knowing what to do with the elder's commands.

"Embrace it cadet!"

The elder then took the young spix to a waterfall in the middle of somewhere and instructed her to stand under it .

The spix could not hold herself for more than five minutes, for the current swept her away along with the mud.

The elder shook his head as they flew around in circles for more than one could count.The spix was then taken to the forest floor and ordered to stand still.

A boa almost constricted the female causing her to fly where the scarlet was,on a tree branch.

"I almost died!What the heck!"

"Good, your reaction time isn't as slow as your brain!"said the scarlet as he took flight.

The speechless female followed until they landed on a cliff used by hang and paragliders.

The scarlet demonstrated by hovering without flapping his wings.She followed by jumping off the cliff ,spreading her wings,however due to her tail being spread out,the female went up into the sky causing the male to shake his head again.

"So...how was your day?"questioned Felipe at the disheveled spix and a disappointed scarlet.

"We're getting somewhere,"the elder replied,"same time tomorrow, understand?"

"Yea,yea ,got that,"said the spix setting a destination for home.

"Dew!where were you all day!?"questioned Jewel as she saw the female fly in from the window,"Blu's been worried sick!"

"Oh!I..I went exploring,and .... I just encountered a Boa....that tried to eat me,"the spix chuckled at the gaping injured female,"But don't tell Blu alright, it's been a long day and ... I think I'll go sleep,good night Jewel!"

"Goodnight,"replied Jewel as the female flew away from her sight.
