Freshman year of college, Ocean and Eve became the best of friends. Finding themselves inseparable from each other amongst their friend group of seven, the two could hardly imagine their lives without one another.
Although, what will happen when fe...

Eve
Only once or twice have I ever had feelings for a girl. And from then on, I promised myself to never even think of setting foot down that road again.
Boys are easier. Not one of them has ripped out my heart and torn it to shreds, or repaired it with a single smile or laugh. I didn't get depressed for months after a breakup with them. I could kiss them and forget about it five minutes later. Sex with them didn't leave me feeling things I didn't even know existed. And if I was careful, it'd be a smooth ride that didn't fuck me up from the inside out.
Therefore, I preferred them... Strictly, them.
Only for a few months now have I been completely single, and I honestly have barely thought about that ex of mine since. He moved away, transferred, and I got over it. I'm young, and life goes on. He was nice though, and our time together was decent, despite him being an interesting kisser.
Nowadays, I'm really just chilling when it comes to relationships. No one exactly has my eye, nor am I particularly looking for anybody either. I'm content with having no responsibility to anyone else but myself right now. It's peaceful.
However- with that being said- we were returning to our dorms from today's picnic, and while Ocean's getting ready for her date with what's his face, I'm in desperate need of a smoke.
Why? Not important...
Maybe it was my classes today and I needed a bit of stress relief. Or maybe it was me being nervously excited for her, given what she told me of how she felt about going out with him. Or maybe I didn't really want her to go at all...
But that would be irrational and insane. She's my best friend. I'm happy for her, and I want her to enjoy herself.
I do...
"Hey..." An elbow nudged mine now that it was the two of us walking down the hall, having dropped off Paris, Soraya, and Diamond. Shaun was smiling a bit humorously with wonder when I glanced over, being pulled from my thoughts. "You good?" she chuckled. "You're a little quiet."
"Yeah," I exaggerated a sigh to make it believable. "Just thinking," I then shrugged once we arrived at the door with our names and decor on it. "A lot on my mind, that's all."
"Okay, y'know I'm here if you wanna talk," she said as I followed her to her bedroom, parking myself in her comfortable rolling chair while she went to her closet. "Wanna help me find something to wear?"
No... "You said you two were going to go eat right?"
"Yeah I told him I liked sushi and he said he knew a place a few miles from here."
"So he's driving you?" I then asked, halting my circles in the chair. "In what?"
"Anndd here we go," Ocean laughed softly, her back to me while she held up a pair of jeans. "I don't know what kind of car he drives, Eve."
