In Luv with Yu

a week have passed since everything wemt normal between jimin and minjeong, including to their friends as well.

today is tuesday, and jimin had no classes with art class. jimin decided to meet minjeong today as for something important.

the two were now at jimin's car, minjeong confused on where they were going.

jimin smiled, "we are going to see my parents, jeongjeongie."

minjeong's face grew worried and nervous, or more like scared. jimin reassured her that everything will be okay and she's got her back.

minjeong released a huge sigh before sitting back to relax herself.

it was a huge ass 4 hour drive towards jimin's house. and to not jimin's surprise, minjeong fell asleep throughout the drive.

for minjeong to know, jimin wanted to reconcile from everything, including her parents. that's the only thing that's left to do anyways, to reconcile with her parents.

well, if jimin's parents cannot accept minjeong, then they are the problem. how could they not accept such a sweet, talented, kind, pretty and pure woman?

arriving at their well-known gate of their mansion, a few staffs of the mansion were confused to why the vehicle stopped in front, shamelessly.

jimin opened her window and faced the speaker right next to the gates and spoke.

"it's been a while, ahjussi-deul. open up please." well, the ahjussi behind the speaker feel overjoyed. he never expected the jimin yu would be back.

the gates automatically opened and jimin stepped on the gear to move towards the parking space of their mansion.

she stopped and turned off the engine and lightly tapped minjeong's shoulder to wake her up.

minjeong woke up, her eyes fluttered open and looked to her side to see a smiling jimin.

"we are here. i'm not going to say that you don't have to be nervouse because i do not control your emotions, neither do you. all you need to do is just be yourself, and if they don't like you, neither would i like them. i will always have your back, jeongjeongie." minjeong smiled at jimin's statement.

she nodded and jimin got off the car and opened the car door for minjeong to get off.

minjeong huffed another sigh and jimin held her hand, noticing her nervousness kicking in.

the two entered the main hall and down towards the living room where both of jimin's parents were at, somewhat busy with a few papers on the coffee table.

jimin stopped and spoke, "we'll probably come back on another day, you guys seemed busy."

as she released those words, both of her mom and dad turned their heads towards where the voice was coming from and widened their eyes in shock.

"JIMIN!" the two rushed towards jimin to hug her, real tight. indicating they missed her so much.

"how are you my dear? it's been five years since you left. what made you come back here? and please, we apologize on what we did to you. could you ever forgive us?" jimin's mom bonbarded her with questions and jimin could only sigh.

minjeong on the other hand got a little out of place. what they were talking about?

"mom mom.. chill. of course i forgive you. though, it was quite a very childish act i did way back then, but i am a lesbian mom, i cannot marry a guy. also, you have no idea how much of a jerk jeno was."

"i know, we found out too. he treats women as his maids and we are glad you ran away because i could never bear watching my own daughter do such a thing." jimin's dad stated which jimin smiled in return.

"and by the way, what made me come back here is because of her." jimin then gestured minjeong to come forward and  stand beside her and held her hand.

"mom, dad. this is minjeong, my girlfriend." jimin signed while speaking which minjeong widened her eyes in amusement.

'girlfriend? i thought she was still courting me..' minjeong thought. nevertheless, she smiled.

"why are you... girlfriend?" jimin nodded.

"remember the time when i ran away because i wanna call the wedding off? yeah, she's the reason why. i have liked her for five years straight. ah no, scratch that. i love her, mom and dad." jimin's confession made the two of them look at each other before glancing back at jimin.

"then she found out about me having a boyfriend. of course she got hurt, who wouldn't? and then she fell into depression that led her to have an accident which is now she lost her hearing." the two were shocked. they looked at minjeong with sympathy and approached her.

on the other hand, minjeong got confused on why they were approaching her.

"you must have lived a very hard life. we apologize for that, miss minjeong." jimin's mom signed and spoke which of course, surprised jimin.

"you know how to sign?" jimin also signed while speaking and her mom could only nod.

"of course! i might have did something.." jimin looked at her suspiciously and her mom laughed.

"fine fine. i searched for you, okay? how can i not? i'm your mother, of course i'd be looking for you. and i happen to see you come out from a building, which was by junmyeon."

"you know junmyeon oppa?" minjeong asked, jimin's mom nodded in excitement.

"of course sweetie! he was once our great investors of the company, til he stopped because of the corruption."

"wah... oppa was an investor of your company huh.. small world." minjeong signed towards jimin, she chuckled at minjeong's behaviour.

"anyways, if i may ask. how are you related to him? i noticed you keep on calling him oppa."

"oh, i'm cousins with him." minjeong answered with a smile.

"anyways, so yea. i found you and her, miss minjeong and saw you guys were signing. it was probably your first date? you guys were awkward." jimin's mom laughed and so did her dad.

jimin got embarrassed while minjeong got shy.

"you and your habit of following people."

"look, you gotta be thankful. we already accepted you and minjeong a long time ago. from that time i followed you. i saw how sweet she was towards you and how much of an effort you put in just to communicate with her. and of course, we should too, that's why we learned sign language." jimin got teary, she never expected for her parents to act this way.

jimin hugged both of them and cried. they hugged her back as they caressed her back for comfort.

"thank you so much, mom and dad. thank you for accepting me for who i am and thank you for accepting minjeong as my girlfriend."

"you are welcome. now, great timing. dinner?" jimin's mom invited minjeong and held her hand before smiling ever so sweetly.

who is minjeong to say no?

the four sat at the dinner table, with food all ready to be eaten. as they munched their food, they chitty chatted here and everywhere which made their bond stronger. minjeong got really close towards jimin's parents, especially her mom.

while the two were doing the dishes, jimin and her dad were cleaning the table.

"she's really sweet and nice, jims. i hope you keep her." jimin's dad said which jimin smiled.

"you like her don't you?" jimin's dad could only smile.

how are all dads are in denial of not liking their child's significant other when they behave the exact opposite?

"of course i will, dad. she's the one i'm gonna call wife."
