11. A single moment of Sincerity

"At least hear me out on my proposition."

"I'll listen just so you will leave me alone." I sighed.

"Good. You look stunning by the way Nova."

"Than- wait a second how do you know what I look like today?"

Danny chuckled

"Turn around."

I looked behind me to see Danny standing far away.

"Meet me in ten minutes by your bus." He said, then hung up, disappearing.

I leaned over to Denis and kissed his cheek.

"I'm going to the bus for a bit." I told him.

He nodded, continuing to sign things.

I walked towards the bus nervously.

I was always nervous around Danny, and it wasn't the good kind of nervous.

I saw Danny leaning against the bus and approached him, staying a few feet away.

"What? No hug for me?" He asked.

"Like I said, we aren't friends."

"Harsh words for such a pretty mouth." He chuckled.

"Just cut to the chase Danny."

"Fine. I want to sign you to my record label."

"I already have offers. I don't want to sign with you."

"But I can make you the deal of a lifetime." He smirked.

"Danny I don't want to sign with you."

"Seven Million Dollars." He said, handing me a business card. "Just think about it." He said.

I bit my lip, taking the card as he walked away.

He stopped, turning back towards me.

"And Nova?" He asked.

I raised my eyebrow.

"Be careful with that singer. Singers can be dangerous." He winked at me.

I entered the bus, pacing and running my hands through my hair.

Seven million dollars. That was so much money.

I was so busy pacing that I didn't notice the guys come back in, I ran directly into Cameron's chest.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry." I gasped.

"You seem shaken up. What happened?" Ben asked.

Denis pulled me into his lap, wrapping his arms tightly around me.

"Danny paid me a visit."

Ben punched the wall.

"He didn't try anything did he?" Ben gritted through his teeth.

"No. But he did offer me something."

"Is he trying to turn you against us?" Ben rolled his eyes.

"No, he offered to pay me seven million for a record deal."

Their eyes widened.

"Holy shit Nova." Ben gasped.

"I'm not going to take the offer, don't worry."

"Nova if you aren't accepting it because of us we can't let you do that." Ben sighed.

"Ben it's not about you."

"Nova I know it is." He sighed.

"Ben the money would be great. But do I really want Danny to control my life?" I bit my lip.

"Your dreams of recording music are coming true Nova." James said.

"We have to let you do this." Sam said.

"Are you sure?"

"We are one hundred percent supportive." Denis kissed my cheek.

Somehow I knew in my gut that this was a bad idea, but I couldn't turn down this amazing offer.

"We love you Nova." Ben smiled.

"I guess I'll call Danny then." I bit my lip.

They nodded.

"And guys. If my record fails can I will work for you?" I asked.

Ben threw a pillow at me.

"Your record won't fail." He laughed.

"Okay I'm gonna call the bastard." I said, getting up, waking to the lounge.

Danny picked up on the first ring.

"I knew you would call."
