The sun shined in through Sayeon's window, making her wake up. She stuck an arm out front under her comforter and reached for her phone.
"Uh, still too early." It was 8:30. She placed her phone down and pulled the comforter up above her head, and tried to go back to sleep. Well, unfortunately, someone didn't want her to fall back to sleep. Her phone rang.
"Dang it! I forgot to put it on silent." She stuck her arm out again and grabbed her phone, bringing it under the comforter and answering it without looking at the caller ID.
"Good morning." Sayeon whispered.
"Why are you still sleeping, Sayeonie!" It was her wonderful sister- inlaw.
"Kimmy, it's my day off, and it's only 8:35. Let me sleep in." She groaned.
She could hear Kimmy muttering under her breath.
"I've been up since 5. Let's go get breakfast. I'm starving. Joshua is coming too, so be ready in twenty minutes! We will pick you up. Bye!"
"Wait, what?" Sayeon sat up. Kimmy had hung up. She dropped her phone down onto her bed and rubbed her face. Does the world hate her? She should be sleeping. Sayeon tossed her comforter to the side and swung her legs out. Guess she was going out. She went over to her closet and picked out her favorite pair of high waisted ripped jeans, a black crop top, along with her bra and underwear. Thankfully, she took a shower last night, so all she had to do was wash her face, brush her teeth, light makeup, and put her clothes on.
Once she was done, she grabbed her phone and a purple cardigan on the way out of her room. She looked at her kitchen clock. 8:55. They should be here soon. Sayeon decided to just go down and wait. She grabbed her handbag and dropped her keys inside, and walked out. Sure enough, as soon as she stepped off the elevator, Joshua's car pulled up at the entrance.
She waved at Kai as she walked out. Joshua was just getting out of the car when he saw his sister. He came over, arms stretched out. "Morning, Sayeonie!"
She walked into his embrace and hugged him back. " I should be sleeping, but because I love you both so much, here I am. Though, it sounds like I don't have a choice." She looked over his shoulder and saw Kimmy smiling at her. Sayeon smiled back and walked over to the car. Joshua opened it for her, and she got in.
"Annyeong, Kimmy. Thanks for the invite." She jokingly said.
Kimmy turned in her seat, so they were facing one another. "Anytime! Hope you're hungry. I found this new cafe, and the menu looked amazing! Blame my pregnancy."
Joshua got back in the car and started driving. "It's a thirty min drive, so it better be worth it, babe." He looked over at his wife. Kimmy smiled at him and took out her phone, getting directions.
Joshua looked in the rear view mirror, looking at Sayeon. She was staring out the window. "Any word from Jeonghan? He's returning today, right?"
Sayeon looked over at Joshua. "Yeah, but not till later, though. We plan on spending the day tomorrow. Oh! When did you want to have that dinner you told me about? I told Hannie so he's aware of it."
Joshua looked over at his wife. "Thinking Tuesday evening. We are taking a trip to visit her parents tomorrow and coming back Tuesday morning."
"Sounds good. Make sure you tell them I said hi." Sayeon went back to looking out the window, daydreaming. She blocked out the conversation between Shua and Kimmy. She had a certain someone on her mind.
TIME JUMP
Jeonghan stared out the window of the plane. He had called the pilot who was supposed to meet them later that day to cancel since they were coming home earlier. He specifically told the pilot not to tell his father. They flew economy. Since Vernon booked the tickets last minute, they were spread out on the plane. Jeonghan was sitting next to an elderly woman and her husband. Nice couple, very talkative, though.
