*beep beeep bepwepkeje* (police sirens)

Sunghoon feels a rush of confidence after hearing the police sirens. He then looks at the one armed man and punches him in the face. The man gets knocked out unconscious, and the other armed guys get startled by his action and point the guns at him.

"SUNGHOON!!"

With no second thought, you pushed the men holding you and ran straight to Sunghoon as you saw a bullet fly.

The place was full of danger. But with Sunghoon by your side, you felt safe; he always protected you.

Why did you two even break up?

You saw the bullet disappeardisappear in plain sight; you were glad no one was shot; you were glad that Sunghoon was safe.

As the sound of the gunshot echoed you felt a sharp pain in your stomach. Then you looked down at your stomach, and you were shot.
You fell to the ground, your vision getting blurry.

You took the shot. ouch

Sunghoon turns around to look at you; his eyes widen as he sees you on the ground.

"No, no, no. You're okay; you're fine. C'mon" He whispered, andwhispered, and as he kneeledkneeled beside you, his hand went behind your neck.

"GET EM!" You hear the police, who just arrived at the scene.

Sunghoon frantically took his jacket off and pressed it against your stomach, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. He pulls you into his lap, his free hand resting on the side of your face, trying to keep you awake.

"Stay with me. Please." He pleaded.

You were so focused on staying awake for Sunghoon while he waited for the ambulance to arrive.

The loud shooting and yelling in the background made it feel like an action movie, but you didn't like being the one on the ground; blood around you almost dead.

"Hey... Cmon Y/N, stay with me. Can you? Stay with me," he asked gently, running his fingers through your hair and watching as you struggled to stay awake.

"I'm trying, Sunghoon."

"Y/N, look at me." He caressed your face, and you looked at him weakly.

"You'll be saved soon. Just stay awake, please. Y/N, stay awake."

Another shot was heard.

You thought one of the men got shot by a police officer, making you softly smile.

Until you felt the body that you were lying on, it fell beside you.

"Sunghoon?... SUNGHOON?!"

At the hospital.

You wake up in an empty and quiet room. Upon opening your eyes, you were blinded by the white colour of the walls and that buzzing, bright light.

You try to move, but your body is pierced by an unimaginably strong pain. You sigh, and even that causes you pain. You can't remember anything.

You're in the hospital. You hear some voices.

"She's lucky the shot was not bad."

"How about that other guy?"

"About him, it's not looking good."

You open your eyes, getting the attention of a nurse.

"Oh gosh, darling. Youre awake....Are you feeling okay?"

She walks to the side of the bed and pulls a chair next to the bed to sit down.

"Where is he?"

The nurse looks at you confused.

"Who?"

"The guy with me, m-my boyfriend. He was with me," you tell her in a hesitant tone.

The nurse's expression changes to be very concerned

"Do you remember his name?"

"Sunghoon"

She jots his name down on a piece of paper and puts it in her pocket.

"I'll go check on where he is. I'll be right back, okay?"

The nurse gets up and walks over to the door, leaving your room.

You wondered if he was okay.

The room is silent for a bit before the door slowly opens back up.

The nurse walks back in with two doctors and a straight face.

One of the doctors speaks up.
"Sunghoon is currently in surgery and is in a critical condition right now."

He pauses for a moment, letting the information sink in.

"It's all my fault," you mumble, looking down.

The nurse sighs and pats your shoulder.
"Don't say that, Miss. You should get some rest. Your health is looking really good." She said trying to change the subject to you.

"But he isn't," you softly say, looking at her with teary eyes.

The other doctor looked at you. "He will be alright, miss; you need to focus on your healing. If youre lucky enough, you can leave tomorrow."

"And can I see him?"

"If it's possible," the other responded.

With that, they left you alone in your room.

The next day..

You were healed; you were lucky you weren't hit that badly in the stomach. You had to stay in the hospital for a couple of nights, but you could roam around.

Once the news was given to you, you stood up and walked as fast as you could to Sunghoon's room.

The night before his surgery was successfully done, but he was still in a horrible state.

You were told he got shot three times...

You felt horrible. If only you stayed with him and didn't do all that, you two would've been happy together.

You walked into his room and saw him awake.

Sunghoon looks over to you.
His eyes were hollow, and his face was covered in bruises. He has an IV in his leg, and his voice was really raspy.

He groans in pain as the IV pump goes off, releasing a new batch of medication into his bloodstream.

"Sunghoon.."

His eyes slowly move to look at you.

He tries to speak up, but all that comes out of his throat is a series of raspy coughs. He looks exhausted and in pain.

Sunghoon attempts to give you a smile, but the best he could do was a weak nod. He still looked like he was in a lot of pain, but there was some relief in his eyes upon seeing a familiar face.

"I'm so sorry."

He slowly shakes his head, as if trying to wave off your apologies. He tries to say something, but after a few failed attempts, he stops and just gives you an acknowledging look.

"This was all my fault, Sunghoon. If only we never argued, I'm sorry," you apologize, holding his hand.

You could tell he was tired from all the things that happened.

"I'm sorry," you say again.

He looks at you, holding eye contact.
"I miss you."

You look at him, shocked that he's talking to you.

"I don't want to take a break anymore, Sunghoon... I miss you too."

"I'm sorry, I changed," he whispers.

"No, no, don't be." You say you remember why this all started.

"I love you for the way you are..."
