Jay is doing some overtime at work in his office. He's not much of the social type, so he prefers to work alone in peace.

Just when he feels like the work environment is getting better and quieter, he saw the only person he adored. Y/N.

As if he were expecting it, he puts his phone away and sighs, crossing his arms and leaning on the edge of his desk. Taking his eyes off his work for a moment, he tilts his head slightly while his eyes are still on her.

In a low voice, he asks, "Why are you still here?"

"I can leave you alone here before you go crazy," you chuckle, walking up to the couch in his office.

He chuckles at her response, rolling his eyes to the side and raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, please, I'm perfectly fine on my own," Jay retorts sarcastically with a lazy grin, placing his hands in his pockets before returning his gaze to her.

"Aren't you going to get in trouble for staying here late, brat?"

You sit on the couch while talking to Jay. "You're going to go crazy without someone to talk to too."

Jay can't help but stare as you comfortably sit on the couch. He shakes his head, his eyes narrowed, still leaning on his desk.

"I won't go crazy." He denies it, but he can't deny that it is somewhat nice to have her here.

"Besides, you should be home at this hour; what are you even doing here, huh?"

He's not used to talking to people; he's always been quite indifferent, and he usually prefers to be alone.

But there's something about you that makes him forget about his usual routine, making him want to talk to you even though he doesn't really know what to say.

"Did you forget something here?" He asks, walking over to sit down in the chair in front of the sofa.

"You"

Jay can't help but raise an eyebrow in surprise and confusion as you reply; he's the reason that you're still there.

He noticed how you were so casual about it. He can feel a slight heat begin to rise up to his face.

He swallowed a little, and he tried to remain calm.

"Me..? "

Jay asks, trying to make sure you're not messing around with him.

You softly chuckle at him. "Cmon, it's midnight, Jay."

He leans back in his chair with his hands in his pockets, taking a moment to look at the clock on the wall. It's past midnight. How the hell he hasn't realized...

"Yeah, yeah, I know..." he pauses for a moment.

"You really stayed here to keep me company?"

"Obviously"

He can't help but chuckle when he hears your tone. It's quite obvious. Looking at you, he notices that you're quite relaxed sitting on the couch, something that only annoys him more but somehow also draws his attention.

"You must be really bored if you'd rather stay here instead of being at home," he says with a teasing smile, resting his forearms on his lap and looking you up and down.

He tries to make it as casual as possible, but he's actually quite curious about why you chose to stay here with him.

You could easily be anywhere else doing more interesting things, but you're here with him.

He leans his arm on the armrest, resting his chin on his hand, his eyes not leaving you for a second.

"Well, I know you don't mind me being here."

He can't argue with that; you're partially right. He doesn't mind you being here; he actually can't complain, but he's not going to give in so easily either. It's not in his nature.

"Hm, well, you're not entirely wrong." He says it with a slight shrug.

"But still, you're young; you should be doing other things. Not staying with a boring old man."

You laugh at him for repeating him. "Old man"

He rolls his eyes to the side upon hearing her laugh, though he can't help but smirk at her comment.

"Hey, I'm not that old," he says, looking at her with a sarcastic look. "But older than you, brat."

"Only two years."

Jay scoffs, raising an eyebrow again. It's just been two years, but sometimes he feels a lot older than her. "That doesn't make you any less of a brat, though," he says in a mocking yet amusing tone.

He's not sure why, but with you here, he feels a lot less tired. Despite how late it is, he's not even sleepy yet. He likes being with you.

"So, you're really just going to laze around here all night?" he says, leaning back in his chair.

"I don't mind."

"Of course you don't. You must be used to being lazy," he says with a smirk, resting his chin on his hand and looking at you up and down, taking his time to appreciate her figure without her knowing.

He stays quiet for a moment, thinking.
They are completely alone in this office. And it's already late night. No one will disturb them. He feels that stupid desire rising again.

"You going to keep working or stare at me?"

He can't help but chuckle softly at your question, and of course he got caught looking at her. He just can't take his eyes off her lately.

"Right now, I think I'd rather stare at you."
He says it shamelessly, not making any attempts to hide it.

"Of course you will."

He grins at her response, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Can you blame me? You're a pretty good view."

"I can't with you."

He just chuckles smugly at her response; he's enjoying her reaction way too much. He can see that you're getting a little annoyed, and that's exactly what he wants.

"I'm not sorry. I do think you're quite entertaining."

He says the last word on purpose, wanting to get a stronger reaction from her. He gets up from his chair and slowly begins to approach her.

He takes his time to walk up to her. When he's directly in front of her, he stands for a moment, looking at her up and down once more.

"You know, you can always just go home."

He says in a mocking tone as he leans his hands on his hips; he's practically towering over her, sitting down on the couch.

"And why would I?"

He crosses his arms over his chest, his eyes looking down at her. He can't help but notice how small she is in comparison to him like this. It's pretty cute for some reason.

"Because no one is holding you here. You can get up and walk right out of here if you want."
He says it jokingly, looking at her with an amused expression.

"Well, I don't wanna"

He can't help but smirk once more at her stubbornness. You seem quite comfortable in his office. It's almost like you own the place.

"Hm, I should've known you wouldn't leave so easy."

He says it in a slightly mocking tone. He's way too familiar with you by now to know how stubborn you really are.

"Do you want me to leave?"

He scoffs, rolling his eyes to the side.

"Of course I don't. Who's going to keep me company if not you?" He says it in a slightly sarcastic tone, though there's also a hint of sincerity. He is actually having quite a lot of fun with her here, he has to admit.

"Thats what I thought.

He smiles at how fast she responded. It's true; she's the only one who can keep him entertained in his boring office like this. So there's no way he's going to tell her to go.

He walks up to the couch and plops himself down, settling beside her. He takes a moment to give her a look.

"You're playing with my heart, Y/N."
