Question of the chapter!:
Whos yalls favourite non-kpop artist?!
————————————————————————
Jake is your close friend and also your all-time crush. You were having a school field trip.

The teacher wasn't quite the best. And decided to make seating plans for the 8-hour bus ride.
Well, isn't that fun?

You were expecting the worst since you knew that teacher despised you.

But for some reason, Jake was your seatmate for the whole trip.

You weren't going to complain; he was a close friend and your crush. So, this was going to be fun.
——
During the first hour, without even realizing it, Jake fell asleep on your shoulder.

You love teasing him, so you took this chance to snap a picture of him, trying to keep it lowkey.

"That angle is horrible Y/N."

You heard his voice mutter as he felt drowsy.

You tried to compose yourself as you noticed him staring at you with his sleepy yet charming eyes.

"Delete it." He said it with a low and raspy voice due to his drowsiness.

By the way, you were going to delete that photo. "No, you look good in it."

He raised an eyebrow at you, and he felt slightly annoyed that you were too stubborn to delete the picture.

"It's creepy to take pictures of others while they're sleeping, y'know." He said, moving his head away from your shoulder, and turned to sit back on his seat, crossing his arms and pouting like a kid.

You softly chuckle, seeing his pout. "I know, but there's no way I'm going to delete this cute photo."

He felt his cheeks getting warmer, slightly flustered by you calling his photo cute. He quickly averted his eyes away from you and pouted again, looking grumpy yet adorable like a teddy bear.

"Hmph. Stop calling it cute." He said it, still trying to seem annoyed by it.

But, deep down, he actually didn't mind being called cute by you. He just felt slightly embarrassed and tried to hide it. Aiden glanced at you with a corner of his eye, secretly wanting you to continue calling him cute.

You brush his messy hair and say, "You should go back to sleep."

He flinched slightly from your touch, but then relaxed as you brushed through his hair. He slowly leaned back on your shoulder again, looking like a cute puppy. He closed his eyes and mumbled in a low voice, sounding sleepy and sulky.

"Don't tell me what to do."

He muttered, pretending to be annoyed but lowkey enjoying the feeling of your hand through his hair.

Jake's hair was surprisingly soft to the touch, almost like silk. He couldn't help but feel relaxed with your fingers combing through his black, messy hair. He leaned even closer to you as he secretly craved more of your touch.

He slowly opened his eyes and glanced at you, a small pout on his face as he mumbled again, sounding like a grumpy baby.

"Keep doing that."

He closed his eyes again, leaning his head against your shoulder and nuzzling his head against your shoulder, slightly seeking more affection.

Despite the cool and uninterested face he always shows, deep down he is just a clingy puppy who secretly enjoys having a gentle touch from you.

His breathing slowed down, indicating that he was falling back into a deep sleep. He looked peaceful and cute as he leaned against you, looking like an adorable puppy seeking comfort from its owner.

Jake slowly opened his eyes as he lifted his head from your shoulder, rubbing his eyes groggily. He sat upright and stretched his arms, letting out a small yawn.

"How long was I asleep?"

He asked, his voice sounding a bit groggy from just waking up.

"Just an hour."

He nodded in acknowledgement, still feeling a bit drowsy. He glanced at you, noticing that he had slept on your shoulder the whole time. He felt a bit embarrassed, but tried to act casual about it.

"Thanks for letting me use your shoulder as a pillow."

He said this, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

"We still have 6 hours left before we arrive."

He groaned at the mention of the remaining journey time. 6 hours felt like forever, especially when you're stuck on a bus.

"6 hours? Damn, that's a long time."

He leaned back on his seat and let out a sigh, looking slightly bored already.

"I know, right," you sigh, also feeling annoyed.

"What do you want to do to pass the time? I'm bored as hell."

He said, looking at you with a slightly exasperated expression, as if he were already tired of this long journey.

"Mmh, I'm not sure."

He scratched his head, thinking for a moment, before suggesting something.

"We could chat, play a game, or just scroll on our phones, I guess."

He didn't really have anything specific in mind; he just wanted to pass the time until they got off the bus.

Suddenly, an idea popped into your head.
"Oh, I know!"

He raised an eyebrow, curious about what you had in mind. He leaned closer, a hint of curiosity on his face.

"What is it? You got something in mind?"

"Let's draw each other! You draw me, and I draw you."

"Draw each other? Sounds interesting."

He said it with a small smirk on his face. The idea piqued his interest, and he seemed to be on board with it.

"Sure, but fair warning, I'm not really great at drawing."

You grabbed some paper and pencils from your bag and passed them to him. "I'll set a timer for half an hour."

He took the pencil and paper you handed him and looked at you with a smirk.

"Half an hour? Alright, challenge accepted. And trust me, I'll definitely try my best." He playfully winked at you.

Jake started sketching on the paper, focusing his attention and concentration on the drawing. He tried his best to capture your features accurately, and he even put a lot of details in the drawing.

He occasionally glanced up at you, studying your face and trying to get every detail right. It seemed like he was taking this "draw each other" challenge seriously.

After some time, he stopped sketching and studied his drawing for a while, trying to see if he was satisfied with it.

"Alright, I'm done with mine."

"Wait!! Gimme five more minutes," you say, focused on making your drawingg perfect

He laughed at your request and nodded.
"Alright, alright, take your time."

He leaned back on his seat, trying to entertain himself by looking out the window and secretly looking at you every now and then, secretly curious to see what your drawing of him would look like.

As he waited, he couldn't help but wonder how good your drawing would turn out. He started thinking about how he looked from your perspective, and he couldn't deny that he was secretly hoping that you would draw him attractively and not look like a goblin.

"Okay, I'm ready."

"Finally"

He said, a playful smile on his face, pretending like he was bored and had been waiting for forever. He looked at you, eagerly waiting to see the drawing you made of him.

"Who goes first?" you ask.

"How about you show yours first?" He said, sounding slightly curious to see your drawing of him. He leaned back on his seat, crossing his arms, and prepared himself to see what kind of drawing you made of him.

"Okay," you say, putting your pencil down and turning your page, showing him your masterpiece of his portrait.

He looked at your drawing with a mixture of surprise and slight embarrassment. It was actually a really good drawing, and it captured his features pretty well. He had to admit that he looked good in your drawing.

"Damn"

You frown. "Damn? Thats all I get to his masterpiece??"

He laughs, "I'm kidding... That's actually really good. You're pretty good at drawing."

He said that, sounding impressed with your talent. He quickly composed himself and tried to sound cool and unaffected, even though he secretly liked the drawing.

He leaned closer to you, studying your drawing more closely, trying to see every detail in the drawing.

"You even got my smile perfectly," he smiled, sounding slightly impressed again and secretly appreciating how much attention to detail you put into your drawing.

"What can I say? I adore your smile."

He blushes but makes a comment, trying to cover it up. "It's like you draw me every day or something."

You freeze, "O-oh yeah.. haha, thats so weird, I wouldn't do that!" You awkwardly laugh.

"Anyway, your turn!"

He chuckled at your insistence and prepared himself to show you his drawing of you.

"Alright, alright, here's mine."

He turned his drawing and showed it to you, bracing himself for your reaction.

He watched as you observed his drawing, waiting for your reaction. He wasn't sure if you would like it or not, and he was secretly nervous about what you would think about his drawing of you.

"Mmh.. its interesting," you say.

"Interesting?"

He said, sounding slightly confused by your response. He had expected a more specific reaction, like "it's good" or "not bad." . But "interesting" sounded very neutral and non-committal.

".. I look really pretty," you say, trying to hold your laugh.

In honesty, he drew you really weirdly. Either you looked that weird, or maybe he's just not in the place to be an artist.

He raised an eyebrow at your comment, sounding slightly amused. He noticed your attempt to hold back laughter, and he knew you were trying not to laugh at his drawing.

"Hey, don't laugh at it! I tried my best, y'know."

You laugh, "I'm sorry!! I just look really different in your drawing."

He couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed that you were laughing at his drawing, but he tried to hide it with his usual smirk.

"Hey, come on. It's not that bad."
He said it, sounding slightly defensive.

"Thank you, though; I'll definitely keep this."

He tried to appear nonchalant and cool, but deep down, he was actually quite pleased that you were going to keep his drawing.

"Yeah, you better keep it. It's a masterpiece."
He said it in a playful tone, trying to mask his feelings of satisfaction.

"Totally a masterpiece," you laugh, taking the portrait of you from his hands and shoving it in your bag.

"Anyways, what now?" he asks, already looking bored.

——
The hours passed by quickly as you and
Jake engaged in various activities together.

"Man, time seriously flies when you're having fun."

He said this, feeling amused as he glanced out the window, seeing the sun starting to set.
You two had been chatting, drawing, listening to music, and doing some other random things to pass the time.

"Yeah, now one more hour before we arrive!"

He nodded, a small sigh escaping his lips as he leaned back on his seat.

"Yeah, one more hour. It feels like this journey will never end." He said, sounding a bit restless as he looked out the window, watching the scenery outside pass by.

——
When you guys arrived at your destination,.
The teacher shared information about where each of you guys went and where they were going to stay.

As you were grabbing your bags, you were one of the last ones to know your room.

"Ms. Y/N, Room E7"

As you walk to your room, you wonder who you'll be sharing your room with for the next week.

You opened the door and saw Jake standing with his bags beside him.

"It's you again." you whisper

Jake couldn't help a small laugh at the thought that you two would have to share a room.

"Well, well, it looks like we'll be bunking together."

He said it, trying to sound as casual as possible. He was secretly kind of excited about the idea but didn't want to show it.
