— I was just heading back to my Common Room; I was outside in the Courtyard — she gave him a smile, nervously twirling a strand of hair between her fingers.
— Can I walk you there? — Garreth asked, turning towards Sebastian as he chuckled loudly. Garreth was starting to hate Sebastian even more with every moment he spent hovering around his girlfriend.
Daisy nodded, offering him another smile that wasn't returned by the redhead. She saw him clench his jaw, keeping her tight against him enough to maintain a certain distance between her and Sebastian, who, not wanting to cause more trouble for Daisy, stayed behind them for the entire walk to the Slytherin Common Room. He breathed a sigh of relief at the thought that soon he would get rid of Weasley, not particularly thrilled by his behaviour towards her.
Once they reached the entrance to the Common Room, Daisy moved away from Garreth's grasp, giving him a nearly forced smile when she noticed his mood. She knew that finding her with Sebastian, after what they had talked about, might seem suspicious, but she and Sebastian could be classified as little more than acquaintances, friendly at most.
— See you tomorrow? — Daisy asked, slightly anxious.
— Sure, see you tomorrow — he replied curtly before giving her a quick kiss on the lips. Daisy didn't like that contact at all, as she felt it much colder and more distant compared to the usual kisses he gave her. She decided to nod and pass through the door to her Common Room, eager to relax in front of the fireplace with a good book and forget about the awkward encounter with her boyfriend.
Sebastian tried to follow her but was quickly blocked by Garreth Weasley, which made him involuntarily laugh. Sebastian was taller than Garreth and much more physically fit, even considering the fact that Garreth spent his free time practicing Quidditch while Sebastian, in addition to those practices, regularly trained by boxing with Christopher Black.
— What do you think you're doing, Sallow? — Garreth asked provocatively, clearly seeking a confrontation.
— I'm not sure, I was thinking of having a tea by the fireplace. Want to join? Although I didn't think you had such tendencies... I'll have to let your girlfriend know, if that's the case — Sebastian replied with an arrogant smirk. He really was a cocky bastard.
— I wouldn't be messing with me if I were you — Garreth said in a threatening tone, making Sebastian's smirk reappear. — Stay away from Daisy, or we'll have a much bigger problem.
— As much as I like the idea of punching her guard dog, I have no intention of fighting with you, Weasley.
— And why not?
— Because if I do, Daisy will think it's my fault — Sebastian said, shoving Garreth and almost making him lose his balance. — Now, get lost.
— You mean nothing to her anymore, when will it sink into that thick head of yours? — Garreth spat venomously, making Sebastian clench his fists as he struggled to keep his promise. — You're obsessed with her only because you've never managed to have her like I did.
— But I had her, Weasley. You're clearly in denial, but you know I had her and she loved me like she'll never love you — Sebastian contradicted almost immediately. At that point, Garreth tried to punch him, but Sebastian quickly blocked it and drew his wand, pointing it at him.
— Petrificus Totalus — he murmured, freezing Garreth in place immediately. Sebastian laughed again, this time genuinely. — I told you, I don't want to fight. I suggest you avoid approaching me next time if you don't want me to report this brief encounter to Daisy. You know she doesn't like to feel as if she's someone's property.
