Spot and firecracker

He wasn't stupid, he'd seen the video going round of her yelling at that quirkless girl. He had also seen her in person now and was smart enough to realise it was extremely unlikely she said what she because the girl didn't have a quirk. Clearly she has a short fuse, like himself, and the girl had taken that to her advantage. That speech she'd given glasses the day before had also stuck with him in someway. Something about how she acted told him she was used to people making assumptions about her.

Before he could continue his long train of thoughts, the hero Present Mic came bursting into the room ranting about learning English or something.

Soon enough lunch came around after the most boring lessons ever. Chinami walked over to Kyouka and Yaoyorozu who had already found a table to sit at and were talking and eating lunch.

"Hey guys. Sorry but I need to go and do something. If there's still time after I'll come sit with you." She said briefly, not bothering explaining. They looked confused but nodded none the less and waved goodbye. She was going to find the blonde kid and ask him about Midoriya's quirk. She wondered round for a few minutes when finally she spotted him sat at a table with a few of their other classmates. Although he didn't look like he was enjoying himself.

She made her way over to the table causing the small group to stop talking and look at her. They were all giving her skeptic looks, some scrutinizing. The blonde kid however simply looked unbothered, giving her the same deadpan look he'd been giving their class mates previously.

"Can we help you?" A boy with yellow hair asked hesitantly. She shook her head.

"No not you. However, you might be able to. Can I speak to you for a moment?" She asked sweetly, pointing at the boy she wanted to talk to. The group all shared surprised looks, the blonde in question raising a brow. Before he could answer however, a pink haired girl opened her mouth.

"Yeah sorry, unlike you he may act like he's horrible but he isn't really. Go find someone else to become your bully partner." She sneered. Her friends didn't say anything but looked slightly uncomfortable. Whether that was with her presence or the girls words she didn't know. Yet Chinami stayed put, waiting for a response from the boy himself.

"Leave it Alien eyes, you don't know shit about her. Fine, but it better be worth my fucking time." He said bluntly, standing up as he spoke. The girl tried to protest but it went past deaf ears as the blonde and Chinami walked out the canteen.

"So, fuck do you want?" He asked, leaning against a wall in the corridor. Chinami simply stood in front of him.

"Midoriya. What's with his quirk, or the sudden appearance of one according do you." She questioned, folding her arms. He scoffed as if the question had offended him.

"Fuck if I know. Last I saw the bastard he was a weakling without a quirk, now the little fuckers gone and got himself a quirk." He spat out in anger, the topic clearly upsetting him in some way. She nodded understandingly.

"I thought as much. You've got to admit it's strange though right? Not to be mean but the kids not exactly the type to be all strong and stuff. Seems like a bit of a neek really." She sighed boardly. This lead the boy to laugh dryly.

"You got that right. The nerds all brains no brawl. Honestly it pisses me off, always yelling that he can become a hero yet does nothing to actually do so. If he really wanted to he'd have trained despite of his quirklessness. Yet here he is with his brand new quirk acting like he's the best." By now his face showed pure rage and annoyance and his hands had balled up into fists. Chinami understood him, clearly he shared the same short fuse as herself.

"Mm, I get it. People who are all talk no action piss me off. Always have so much to say but nothing to show for it." She scoffed quietly. The boy opposite laughed slightly.

"You know I think could get used to you. Not what all those extras think you are huh?" Chinami paused in surprise. He thought she was alright? This guy was weird, yeah, I mean he had a hell of a lot of bark and bite, but he also seemed smart and oddly rational.

"You think? Well I could get used to you. You're a kinda a breath of fresh air from every other gullible kid out there." She smirked, her amber eyes practically glowing up at him.

"Hey to that spot." He nodded, grin widening.

"Spot? Where'd you get that fire cracker, my name's Kazane." She mused, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Hah?! Fire cracker? The names Bakugou. And you're spot cus of that spot on your cheek you loser." He spat back, voice full of amusement. So his name's Bakugou? And spot? Honestly it was kinda cute, Chinami had always liked her beauty mark so if this was the best he could do for nicknames with her she didn't mind.

"Well, Bakugou, if you're up to it I'm gonna go and join my friends for the rest of lunch. I've gotta eat. Wanna join?" She smiled. He laughed in disbelief.

"Got some balls huh spot? And sure why not, sure your friends are a whole lot better than those bastards who dragged me away earlier." Chinami nodded before leading him back into the canteen to the table her friends were at. On the way they passed the group of kids who Bakugou had originally been sat with who called out at him to sit back down. They soon shut up when he sneered at them with a brash;

"Fuck off you damn extras!"

Approaching the table, Kyouka waved them both over will Yaoyorozu giving a smile.

"Hey, Nami! Got you some food while you were gone." Kyouka noted at the two sat down next to one another opposite the two other girls.

"Thanks Kyo. This is Bakugou by the way." She introduced, nodding towards the blonde. He gave a grunt in response. Yaoyorozu smiled kindly at them while Kyouka laughed slightly.

"Yeah I sit next to him Nami. Sup man." Yaoyorozu nodded besides her, sitting up straighter then before. Yes, it was somehow possible.

"Yes, nice to have you here Bakugou. If Kazane wishes for you to be here I'm sure you're alright. She's a good judge of character." He scoffed but not a rude way, more of an amused way really.

"Course she is if she recognises I'm great." The three girls laughed at his proclamation.

"By the way Yaoyorozu, feel free to call me Chinami. Kyo does." The pale girl looks surprised for a second before giving her the widest grin Chinami had seen on the girls face.

"Very well then, feel free to call me Momo! That goes for you as well Kyouka! Oh and you Bakugou, if you wish." The girls agreed happily while the blonde only grumbled in response.

"Yeah whatever, ponytail works better." Chinami burst out laughing at the nickname, finding Bakugous inability to say peoples actual names extremely amusing.

"Got a problem spot?" The explosive boy shouted slightly. She only laughed even more, but shook her head none the less. He scoffed but sat back into his seat.

"Spot and ponytail? You got a kink for nicknames Bakugou?" Kyouka teased while holding in her own giggles. This only caused Chinami to laugh even more, even Momo snorted slightly.

"Hah?! What was that ears?! The fuck did you say?!" He cried, small burst coming from his palms.

"There you go again with a nickname! I might actually be right!" At this point the three girls were in fits of laughter while the crazed blonde yelled several profanities at them all. It was all in good fun though. If anything they all knew deep down that they'd found their people. It was sweet really.

Chinami couldn't help but smile as she thought about the friends she had now. Despite the way so many thought of her there were still people who saw past the rumours. People who would help her strive to be stronger so she could become a hero like she'd always dreamed. And God knows she'd do the same for them.

Yayy, the squad is slowly coming together! Still got a few more members to come though so have fun guessing who if you want!

No art for this chapter as the bits I've focused on weren't talked about in the anime or manga, just passed time. Should be some for next chapter though as that is the hero Vs villain faux battle! I'm actually looking forward to writing that chapter so I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I will writing it!
