The devils promise

Following her reunion with her old friends, Chinami had decided to take a detour on her way home. Luckily she didn't have work after school today so she could spend as much time as she liked.

Turning down an all too familiar path, the girl set off towards a shop she frequently visited.

"Ah, Kazane! The usual I presume?" The kind woman behind the counter called out as the bell rang out through the small shop. Chinami smiled sweetly at the older woman, nodding her head. She watched silently as she took out her hands before her, an assortment of tiger lily's sprouting from the palm of her hands. Taking a small, black ribbon from a container on the counter, the lady tied the flowers together neatly, handing them over to Chinami when she was done.

"Free of charge darling, I know what week it is." She said solemnly.

"Thank you, Mrs Tanaka, really." Chinami thanked, giving her a quick side hug before making her way out of the shop, back down the road.

Flowers in hand, Chinami took the slow walk over to the park she'd been to many times before. In fact, this park was one she spent most of her time at when she was younger, visiting it often with her parents when they were off work. It was only fitting they were buried there.

She continued to walk along the path, looking at the wild flowers that grew alongside the grass. However, before she could take a turn towards her parents grave, she was stopped by the familiar sight of ash blonde hair.

Katsuki Bakugou stood leaning against a tree right next to the one she was headed. His face was solemn but also calm. In fact it was the calmest she had ever seen the boy. His ruby eyes stood out more than usual, the outsides of them being red and swollen. He'd been crying. Why though? She thought back to his fight earlier with Midoriya, could it be that? He had seemed rather upset when he first came back. Whatever, he was clearly upset in some way and if Chinami wanted to prove that she could be a good friend she was going to do something about it.

Deciding she could wait before continuing her own business, she walked over towards Bakugou who was completely blind to the fact she was there.

"What's up firecracker?" She called out to him. Right away, his head shot up and his eyes widened at the realisation she was there. Looking the girl up and down, he noticed that she was still in her uniform meaning she probably hadn't gone home yet. Not only that but she was holding a bouquet of orange lilies.  He didn't even know orange lilies were a thing.

"Fucking hell spot, don't sneak up on people." He groaned, his face returning to it's usual scowl. Chinami only laughed, walking over by his side.

"What's with the flowers?" He questioned, pointing to the lilies with his head.

"For my parents." Was all she replied, voice plain and quiet. This only confused him even more.

"What, you brought them on your way back home to give them? Some sort of anniversary or some shit?" He leaned back further onto the tree, crossing his arms over his chest. Chinami nodded but he could tell something was up.

"You could say that yeah." She began, her eyes trailing over to the large willow tree in the center of the park. If he wasn't mistaken, that was also where a pair of hero's were buried, they had a memorial there and everything. He didn't really know who they were though, some underground ones that were from this city apparently.

"The day after tomorrow is the 6th anniversary of my parents deaths." Bakugou felt himself tense up immediately. How did he not realise her parents were dead? He'd literally overheard a conversation she had with ears about it- wait. Hadn't she said that Chinami's parents were heroes?
