Depth Of The Abyss

Ciara's POV

I was smiling while arranging the flowers that I'll offer to the titaness Phoebe. For me she's the kindest titaness, well it was because she helped us. I'm really thankful to her, I hope we can meet again.

"Thank you Phoebe." Mahinang ani ko, I lowered my head to show respect and after that I took a walk away from her temple. Habang naglalakad ay tumama ang paningin ko sa isang malaking temple dito.

"If ever, if Uranus knows something then he'll be a great help."

Naglakad ako patungo doon. Unlike the other temples of the titans this is a huge one like Geae has. The door is open and as soon as I enter it a warm humidity embraces my skin.

I looked at the center of the temple and I saw a woman fixing the flowers around the huge statue of a man.

"Dawn.." I called her name. Lumingon ito sa akin at ngumiti ng malaki nang makita ako.

"Ciara!" Tumayo siya at lumapit sa akin and we hug each other. "What brought you here?" I smiled and I looked at the huge statue in front of us.

"I'm here to pray." I came closer to the statue and I stared at it. A huge statue with long hair and long breeds, its both arms are spread.
"Dawn sa tingin mo nasaan si Uranus?" Narinig ko ang paghakbang nito hanggang sa tumabi siya sa akin.

"They said he was castrated, completely." Parehas kaming nakatingala sa statue.

"But you know a creature like him doesn't die right?" I looked at her "his not totally gone, right?" I asked at ibinalik ang paningin sa statue.

"No one knows Ciara." I smiled bitterly. No one really knows. "But I also thought so, as long as the civilization fire is alive, a deity like him won't disappear." Tumingin ito sa akin. "Do you need something from the god, Ciara?" Dahan-dahan akong tumango "I see, don't worry I'll always offer something for him from now on." I smiled.

"Thank you Dawn." Ngumiti rin ito sa akin.

"I'll go first I still have something to attend to." Tumango ako, bago siya umalis ay humarap muna siya sa akin at tinapik ang balikat ko "I believe that everything's gonna be fine, I hope your class takes things a little light." Tumango ako at hinatid siya ng tingin. Muli ay tumitig ako sa statue sa harapan ko.

"Uranus.." I kneel one of my knee and I lowered my head. "Wherever you are...please, I'm asking for your guidance..." I stayed in the same position for a couple of minutes before I decided to head back to the dorm.

Habang naglalakad pabalik sa mismong Academy ay nililibot ko ang paningin sa paligid. Mas maayos na ang kalagayan ngayon ng Academy kumpara dati. Pero hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa rin naibabalik ang tingkad nito.

At hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin nagpaparamdam ang Olympians. Napayuko ako habang naglalakad.

He hasn't talked to me yet after that war. I would like to deny it but I...I really miss him. I miss my dad.

"Ciara." Napalingon ako sa tumawag sa akin, agad akong napangiti nang makita kung sino ito.

"Miss Elyse!" I immediately wrapped my arms around her and hug her tightly.

"Hi, it's been a while." Miss Elyse is our instructor in our psychology class. Bumitaw ako sa kaniya.

"Indeed, you're back." She smiled at me and she wrapped her one of her arms in my shoulder and we continued walking towards a bench at naupo kami doon.

"How are you?" She asked, agad naman akong napangiti, lagi siyang ganito sa tuwing magkikita kami nang kami lang, lagi niya akong tinatanong kung kamusta na ako.

"I'm doing fine." I answered, and it made her smile a little, clearly she knows that I'm lying.

"Do you want to talk about it?" She asked carefully, sandali akong natigilan. Should I open up? I think she can really help me right now.

"We are worried.." napayuko ako. "Masyadong maraming nangyayari." Napakarami, nahihirapan akong isa-isahin iyon sa kaniya. "Ang mga titans babalik sila, maaaring gamitin nila kami." Napalunok ako nang makaramdam ng pangamba. "Neysha said that the new abilities we have right now is a blessing coming from the titans in exchange for siding with them..." But up to these days we're still denying it. We are trying hard to find a way to stop the titans from rising again, we're trying to find a way so they won't be able to use us.

"Siding with them?" I nodded my head.

"We are born for them..." I looked at her eyes and she's already looking at me directly with full of empathy.

"That's not true Ciara, you are born for yourself. You decide on your own, you act on your own, you think on your own. That only means that you are for yourself not for anybody else." She held my hand and gently squeezed it. "I know the pressure your class is carrying right now." Napalunok ako nang magsimulang mag-init ang mga sulok ng mata ko. "It must be hard carrying a responsibility that you never wanted in the first place." Nagsimula nang manubig ang mga mata ko kung kaya yumuko ako para itago ito.

"A-anong gagawin namin?" My voice broke.

"Kung ako ang nasa posisyon niyo ay malamang tinakbuhan ko na ang lahat, pero alam kong hindi niyo magagawa iyon. Kailangan niyo itong harapin Ciara." She reached for my cheeks and she wiped the tears that already fell from my eyes. "Face it and if you find yourself getting lost while looking at it, just call each other's name and feel the embrace that you offer to one another." I nodded my head, my breathing gets heavy from crying.

Face it... that's the only thing that we can do right now. What is important is we have each other, for now that's the only thing I can hold on to.

"Thank you Miss..." She caressed my hair.

"I heard your class is preparing for a quest?" Tumango ako.

"Our first mission is to find Uranus." Naningkit ang mga mata nito, nagtataka siguro. "It's our first step, we're trying to know when and where the titans will appear, and we found out that it was already mentioned in the first prophecy." I explained making her nod. "Only the heaven knows, so we're assuming that it was talking about Uranus but we still have yet to find out if it really was."

"The first Prophecy? It came from the head oracle of Elysium, right?" Tumango tango ako. "Have you tried asking her?" Natigilan ako. "Maybe she knows something more deeper about the prophecy and about Uranus as well, what do you think?" My eyes widened.

"You're right!" Napabalikwas ako ng tayo, ngumiti ako ng malaki at mabilis na yumakap sa kaniya bago tumakbo ng mabilis paalis. "Thank you Miss Elyse!"

Now we have the real and specific first step.
