VI: Talk to Talk

"Yeah, we're training how to make kids and you decided to interrupt."

"P*tek ka talaga!" Binato niya ako ng papel na nasa table, I effortlessly avoided it.

I summoned a bottle of wine in my hand. "Isaac, hand me a glass, please." Tumayo ito at kumuha ng tatlong wine glass sa cabinet niya.

"Inom na naman? Dinadamay mo kami sa pagiging lasinggera mo Critz." Hindi ko pinansin si Asa sa halip ay nilagyan ko ng wine ang mga glass na nilapag ni Isaac sa lamesa. Isaac sat beside me and I handed him a glass of wine.

"You're not gonna get drunk with a bottle of wine." I handed the other one to Asa. I sipped on my glass and I looked at the view outside. Kitang-kita dito ang field sa baba ng Academy. Maraming estudyante doon, karamihan nagt-training.

"Ano kaya sa tingin niyo ang mga mangyayari kapag lumabas na tayo ulit dito sa Academy?" Tanong ni Asa.

"A lot." I answered.

"Hayss!" Malakas itong bumuntong hininga. "Alam niyo ba never kong hiniling na maging superhero hahahhaha." Ngumisi ako.

"Same."

"Ngayon wala na tayong choice." Ani Isaac, I heard him sigh and he rested his head on my shoulder.

"Tayo lang may kakayahan.." yumuko si Asa. "Kaya wala tayong choice, kawawa ang mga mortal kung hindi natin susubukan lumaban 'di ba?" She asked.

"Mmm, that's why we needed to." Mortals ang maiipit sa laban, and as much as possible we want to protect them from the war.

Nagkwentuhan pa kami patungkol sa ibang mga bagay. "Critz, kamusta mother mo?" Natigilan ako.

"I haven't seen her." I answered truthfully.

Nang pumunta kami ni Isaac sa mortal realm ay hindi natuloy ang paghahanap namin dahil napagdesisyonan kong tumulong muna sa Meízon.

Pumunta kami sa hospital na tinutukoy ni mother Issa to search for any records. Using money we figured out that my mother was once admitted there, when she gave birth to me and when she had mental problems. That's how I figured out her condition. Pero ang sabi sa amin ay nilipat daw ito sa mas malaking mental health institute.

"Anong plano mo?" Bumuntong hininga ako.

"I would like to see her once we go to the mortal realm." Tumango tango ito. "How about you? When are you planning to meet your Mom? We don't know, we might die sooner and it will be a waste if you didn't even get to see your Mom for the last time." Nalukot ang mukha nito, disgust was all over her face.

"I rather die without seeing her." Napangisi ako, easy to say.

"I heard your step brother came to see you when you're in Japan." Nangasim lalo ang mukha nito.

"Bakit ka ba banggit nang banggit sa mga taong hindi importante?!"

"Nakipagkita siya sa'yo?" Kunot noong tanong ni Isaac.

"O-oo.." napakurap-kurap ako tapos nakita kong nandilim ang paningin ni Isaac.

"Did he do something?" Mabilis na umiling si Asa.

"Wala!" Doon lang nakahinga nang maluwag si Isaac at binalik ang pagkakasandal sa balikat ko.

"Mabuti naman."

"Why? What happened?" I asked, completely confused.

"Her step brother likes her and he keeps hitting on her." My lips parted in disgust.

"Gross." I commented. "Your step dad and brother has the same taste."

"Hoy hindi ako cheater hah!" Hindi naman 'yun ang tinutukoy ko.

"When was your last relationship again Asa?" I asked as I remember that it's been so long since I last saw her with someone. I think it's the guy from fylaska I guess, I couldn't remember it clearly anymore. Well Asa has never been in a serious relationship, she just does it for the thrill she said.

"Hindi ko na matandaan, 'di ko binibilang." Lumabi ito, napangisi ako nang may maalala.

"Oh, well do you like someone right now?" Agad na nangunot ang noo niya at inirapan ako.

"Sa tingin mo ba may oras pa ako para diyan?"

"Well," I put one of my hand on top of Isaac's lap. "If you really want to." Lumabi ito at uminom sa wine glass niya, nakita ko na rin ang pamumula ng pisngi nito kaya napangisi ako.

"Oh...so there's someone." Nanlaki ang mga mata niya at umiiling-iling.

"Hulaan ko si-"

"Wala ah!" Sinamaan niya kami ng tingin ni Isaac, tinawanan namin ito.

"You're so indenial!" Natatawang ani ko. "Did you know she already had her first kiss!" Natatawang ani ko kay Isaac, nanlaki ang mata nito.

"Hoy-"

"Talaga?! Sino ang malas na lalaki na 'yan!"

"Wala pa nga akong first kiss-" sabay-sabay kaming napalingon sa pintuan nang bumukas ito at niluwa no'n si Trix na kumunot ang noo nang makita si Asa.

"You escaped." He uttered and I smirked when I saw Asa's cheek turning red.

"Speaking of the devil."
