"So you've decided to let it come to nothing? How do you envisage that?"

"We'll just carry on as before the kiss."

Yoongi placed a steaming cup of cocoa in front of Namjoon and sat down next to him on one of the bar stools at his kitchen counter. Namjoon had come to visit him after work. They hadn't seen each other in person for a long time and it was a welcome distraction for Yoongi to avoid spontaneously dropping by Jimin's house.

Besides, he still had work to do and Namjoon was an easy target. Seemingly on the side, Yoongi distributed glossy, crepe and craft paper on the counter. There were also various glue sticks and scissors, as well as some handicraft instructions.

"What do you mean: before the kiss? Do you realise how touchy you were before? If I fiddled around with my person of interest like that all the time, knowing they feel the same, I wouldn't last a day."

Namjoon gave Yoongi a sceptical look and then looked at all the crafting utensils.

"What's this?"

Yoongi grinned innocently and reached for one of the crafting instructions.

"I have to prepare something for the Christmas party on Friday and I thought it would be more fun with two people."

He studied the instructions and looked for suitable paper, glue and scissors. He wanted to make little angels out of glossy paper.

"And you really thought I was the best choice for a crafting partner?"

Namjoon made a gesture that suggested he had two left hands and shook his head.

"Actually, I was going to ask Jimin, but I figured some distance might be good."

Yoongi handed Namjoon some glossy paper, scissors and a glue stick and pointed to the instructions for a garland.

"We'll carry on as before-my ass. Now you're avoiding him."

Namjoon reluctantly reached for the instructions and immediately had question marks on his forehead.

"You just cut out strips of the same size and stick them together in rings. Even you can do that."

Yoongi skilfully ignored Namjoon's comment and returned to his task. He traced the angel shape, cut it out and folded it, and the first angel was ready.

"I'm just saying, none of us would probably mind if you started something. I'll emphasise the betting thing again."

Namjoon waggled his eyebrows and endeavoured to cut out strips of the same size. Yoongi looked at him thoughtfully for a while.

"Could it be that you're about to lose?"

Embarrassed, Namjoon averted his eyes and scratched the back of his head.

"I'm not allowed to tell you the tips. It could affect the result. I've already said too much anyway..."

He reached for the glue stick and despaired of gluing the first ring together.

The doorbell rang. Surprised, Yoongi looked at the door and stood up. He wasn't expecting anyone else. He looked at Namjoon who just shrugged his shoulders in reply.

"Wait a minute."

Yoongi strolled to the door and opened it a crack, only to open it all the way in surprise.

"Jimin?"

"Hey, sorry. I was getting takeaway and accidentally bought too much. My eyes were bigger than my stomach again. I thought I'd come round and we could eat together? I hope you haven't eaten yet?"
