I opened my eyes slowly.

The sun was rising. The soft sunlight casted long shadows on the white wall. I was lying in a medium sized white bed. I looked to one side and immediately knew I was in an infirmary. There were other white beds, empty and tidy lined against the wall. I was in a big room with four big windows overlooking the forest and other parts of the mansion.

I looked to my other side and saw Aeon, sleeping in a chair sitting upright. I gasped in surprise. He put his head against the wall and his arms were crossed. He looked moody even in his sleep.

I lifted the white comforter off of my legs. I realized I was wrapped in bandages on both hands, and my left leg. I slowly wiggled my toes and fingers, I didn't feel any pain. Maybe I'm so drugged up on pain medicine but it didn't feel that way.

I slowly unwrapped the bandages on my hands. Nothing.

How long was I gone for?

"You're awake." A rough, ragged and sleepy voice.

I twisted my body to look at Aeon.

His brown eyes shone so brightly. He looked so tired.

"How long was I out for?" I asked.

"It's only been a few hours." He rose from his chair slowly. I noticed him wince, probably pain from sleeping in that chair. "The doctor said you'd be out for two weeks, because you hit your head pretty badly."

I touched my head, bandages, how did I not feel them on my head. Gassed up on drugs for real.

"I don't feel anything." I said. Aeon walked slowly around the bed to stand beside me. But he stopped a little far as if to give me some space. I lifted up my hands. "Look my hands are fine."

His eyebrows nit together, clearly puzzled. "Must be your healing." He said slowly.

There was a mirror behind him. I got up and walked to it. The bandages on my leg still had blood so I walked carefully but I felt nothing. I didn't look at him but I caught the look of shock as he saw me walking.

I looked at myself in the mirror. Bandages were wrapped around my head and there were still blood stains on them. Surely they couldn't be healed.

"Can it heal in a few hours?" I pointed to my head. I watched him through the mirror.

"Yeah, it can." He said. "Let's see." He came up close behind me, slowly and gently, he unwrapped the bandages. Making eye contact with me every so often to check if I was okay.

The last fo the wrap unfolded and it was fully healed. I touched my head to make sure.

"It looks like your wolf is fully connected to you now." He said. I looked up at him. "That's good."

"Thanks." I said softly, like a whisper. I touched the back of my head to make sure it's healed. Ruffling my back hair.

"Do you know his name now?"

"Name?" I whispered and looked at the ground. 'Woof.' I heard in my mind and I breathed deeply. He's here. It filled me with happiness knowing he's here. "Kai." I looked up at Aeon.

"Kai. That's cute." I smiled at his compliment.

"Noah?" He called.

"Hmm?" I looked up at him.

"I'm sorry." He said genuinely.

"It's okay." I could tell genuinely that he was sorry. As if sleeping in the chair beside me wasn't enough to tell me how guilty he felt. I wrapped my arms around his torso and buried my face in his chest. I knew that most of this is Kai, I wouldn't have done this normally, even if I wanted too, but I'm glad Kai is guiding me right now because this is nice.
