Alpha and Omega

Aeon and Harvey must have defeated the other alphas. Because now they hovered over me, worried. I tuned them out as Aeon said something to Harvey that made him leave. I held my hand tightly, trying to ease my shaking body and rushing heartbeat. I couldn't breath, the blood on my skin was suffocating me. 

"Noah." Aeon peered into my eyes with kindness. "Come. Let's go take a shower." He gently and slowly hoisted me up from under my arms. With one arm wrapped around my shoulder, he helped me up the stairs. 

"I killed him."  I said as we entered my room. "I've never killed anyone before." Aeon's eyes bore into mine with patience and a sincere gentleness. 

"It's okay Noah." He gave me a bear hug with a small squeeze. 

"I know exactly what you're going through, okay? It's going to be okay. I'll take care of you." He slowly removed himself from my arms and I immediately missed him. "Can I take this off?" He asked lightly tugging at my shirt. I nodded. 

He peeled off my shirt slowly as the blood on my shirt made it stick to my skin. I felt vulnerable, I didn't like my body. I didn't like anyone looking at it either. I kept my eyes on his and felt safe. He didn't look at me like I was a dirty sinner or lustful at all. No reaction only going through a process of getting me clean. However, my cheeks burned as he undid my pants and let it drop to the floor. I stepped out of it as he guided me to the shower. 

The shower door was open with steam blowing out. He took my hand and held it under the running water. "Is this okay?" He asked. 

I nodded. It was hot but not burning. I submerged blissfully under it. I rubbed the blood away and watched it run down my legs and down the drain. Tears stung my eyes as I was reminded of being sexually assaulted. I knew the feeling of washing blood away and watching it run down the drain. But today, I don't care, I'm grateful I'm not the one that is in physical pain or dead. 

"Can I soap you up?" Aeon asked. 

"No." I hissed. I forgot he was there. I settled myself as guilt crept up, he's trying to help. "I want to do that myself." I lathered myself up quickly and started scrubbing viciously. I felt dirty all over again. 

"Noah, are you okay? Don't scrub so hard, your skin is all red." Aeon said. 

I didn't look at him. I covered my eyes and started crying as the water washed off the soap. 

"Noah," Aeon voice said softly. "Come. Come out now." He rubbed my back as I stated to cry harder. He half cradled me in the shower, getting himself wet as well. He gently pulled me out and wrapped a towel around me. 

"I'm dirty!" I cried. 

"What?" Aeon asked confused. 

"I'm dirty. I'm a fucking whore and a killer. I'm not worthy of all this." I cried almost falling to my knees but Aeon picked me up and gently placed me on the bed. Then he hugged me so tight and I returned his embrace so fast as if I was desperate for his affection this entire time. I think he got the hint. 

"You're not dirty. You are so very precious, my love. Nothing could ever make you filthy or take away your value. I would fight for you a thousand times, just as you are. I'm so sorry for everything that you've been through, but you are as beautiful as always. You are a true warrior." I felt myself calm down, the little hitches in my breathing are slowing down. Aeon created a little space in our hug to look me in my eyes. "As long as I am alive, I will always fight for you. I won't let anyone hurt you. I will always protect you and care for you." Aeon kissed my forehead. "I love you, Noah." He wrapped me in his arms again. 

 My breathing completely slowed. His embrace, his warmth, everything, even his presence was so comforting. I needed it, craved it so bad and he was fulfilling everyone of my needs. My love for him grew. I never felt love like this in my entire life. I've always been closed off and scared but he broke down my barriers, and this love, this feeling, now I know what it feels like to love and be loved.
