Ben 10: City of Sin

"Well.. that turned out more.. hazardous than we predicted.. hazardous by a long shot.. tsk.."

CaD's hologram leaned on his holographic desk, his fingers clasped together. "Sorry about that Sasha, guess my hope of easing the kids in was ultimately dashed."

"Don't be sad Big C, wasn't a total loss. Those kids performed admirably.." said Sasha as she bit into her cheeseburger. "And.. to top it off, they actually managed to turn one o' the Weapon Sisters to our side.. an' now we got like.. two of em." 

"Hmmm.. " CaD sighed. "I heard rumors of the Weapon Sisters Sion sends out to do its dirty work.. and I suspected Olivia might be one of them- but I never thought the amount of war crimes and human cruelty used to make em would be-.. this.. " 

"I know.. " said Sasha. "Ben went quiet when I asked him what he did to get that Shock Beat girl to join up- and he just couldn't talk-.. the Package.. the girl, she just mutters something about a frog.. "

"Grey Matter.. Ben's top Brainy Alien. It raises his IQ and allows him to suddenly learn about anything he looks at to a degree no human or alien on record can. The Omnitrix even has an added bonus of teaching him the linguistic terms of whatever he looks at by pulling from the alien extranet so he can verbalize it properly.  No alien is better for performing a complex surgical procedure..  I take it this.. Shock Beat.. probably screamed, after all, they couldn't risk taking the time to look for anisthesia."  CaD grunted.

"Holy fuck." said Sasha. "No wonder that girl's so loyal to him now."

"Two Weapon Sisters and one boy with a device that surpasses the entire universe, Mili-EX is about to face some shit I was never prepped for.. I'm counting on you Sasha. I have Glade to keep the boy grounded, but you need to teach him how to work in this city.  Super Heroes are great for fiction, but they don't survive in Sion City, not if they want to change things. He needs to be a Merc, not Superman, you read me?" 

"Yeah.. I get it." said Sasha.  "Marcus is with em now.. I better get goin' soon. Burger Shack food can only keep three super powered preteens occupied for so long. And I'm worried my brother is only gonna encourage the less desirable tendencies. By the way.. about the job-." 

"I know. So.. our package is none other than the remaining heirs to the Sanada Corps." CaD grunted as he puffed on his cigar. "Tsk.. I need to make a few calls. White Knight needs to know about this. Just keep chuggin' on that train till it reaches the stop we were supposed to get to. I'll ask Glade to call her friend in Max Kill, let her know about the guard situation, hopefully next stop we can clean out the corpses and actually send in the real guns. Also I'll see if Knight will let Six out of his hole.. maybe he can back us up.. I know you'd like that.." 

Sasha smiled at the thought of her old partner. "Heh, did you know he's the one who taught Rooky to use those swords..? Man that old timer's still on my mind.."

"Heh, God.. those were the days.. Me.. Cynthia.. Max.. Six.. Knight.. you and your tiny little wrench playin' fixer upper..  and.. and Billy.. oh..Billy-" CaD muttered. "Damn where have the years gone..?" 

"Would you like me to send Ben and Olivia home? I can send them on a returning train at that station. " said Sasha. 

"No.. as much as I'm tempted to- this was gonna happen sooner or later. I promised to make em Mercs. This sort of job turns up every few contracts. And that boy took down an intergalactic warlord for fuck's sake. I gotta stop thinkin' like a father and more like their boss, or they'll never spread their wings." said CaD. "This train attack was a trial by fire, and they proved themselves. Now its up to you to hone the weapons they bring to the table, Swords- Aliens- and all."
