This takes place during TPOT

Pen had forced Eraser to find a more... civil hobby than shoot Teardrop with deadly lasers. After all, 'it wasn't okay to murder people'. So they resorted to laser tag. All around the hotel.

"GET OVER HERE!" Eraser shouted, as Teardrop dashed up the stairs, and onto the rooftop. Teardrop even mocked eraser by doing an angry face, and mouthing the same thing that Eraser just said. She couldn't help but laugh silently from her own mocking, and it even got Eraser to laugh a bit. Just for a moment, he dropped his guard.

"That's adorable." Eraser replied in a halfway mocking tone. But half of him did actually think it was kinda cute how playful Teardrop usually was. She always knew how to have fun, that's for sure. "...how about we do something else than laser tag for once?" Eraser then asked, and Teardrop tilted her head a bit out of confusion, but shrugged, and dropped the gun.

The two of them then sat on the edge of the roof of the hotel, giving them an exquisite view of the competition, and what everyone else was doing. "Ya know... it's quite nice being peaceful instead of killing each other." Eraser admitted, Teardrop nodding in agreement. Neither of them wanted to always be at each other's throats, and admittedly, they both wanted something a bit more.

A few minutes of silence passed,  neither of them saying anything or even looking at each other. It wasn't awkward silence though. They both felt at peace with things. Like the moment never needed to end. And that's when Eraser looked over at Teardrop, and asked her, "Have you ever thought about... uh... ya know, things?"

Teardrop was confused at first, but then it dawned on her what he meant by 'things'. She nodded, looking up at him. Eraser took a sigh, before admitting, "I do too... sometimes. I think about things like... relationships or whatever." Eraser was never good with his words, and he felt bad. He wanted to tell Teardrop how he felt, but his mind simply wouldn't let him.

Teardrop could see it in his eyes, that he was trying to say something, but he couldn't. Yeah, considering she couldn't talk, she had to get really good at learning how to read people's emotions. So she simply put a hand on his shoulder, and looked right into his eyes. She was trying to let him know it was okay to say what he wanted, and it seemed to work.

Eraser took a deep breath, and told Teardrop, "I know normally, I'm like this tough guy. But when I'm around you, I can be the... the real me. And that's why I... ya know, like you. Like that." Eraser balled up his fists and looked like he was just about ready to literally beat himself up over failing to get his words out.

That's why Teardrop wrapped her arms around him, and gave him a big hug. Out of instincts, Eraser did the exact same. Eraser slowly moved Teardrop to where she was sitting on his lap and facing him. "I... well... I love you." Eraser finally managed to say, taking a sigh out of relief, but the relief didn't last for long cause Teardrop brought her lips to his, starting a kiss that felt like fireworks in their mouths.

The kiss didn't last long, but it sure felt like it did. The second Eraser's mouth left Teardrop's, he pulled her into him tightly, and didn't let go. Neither of them even realized that the sun was already setting. Not like they would've gone inside anyways. But Eraser looked up, and saw the golden light of the sun slowly fade over the horizon. A perfect backdrop. He then switched Teardrop around so she could see it too, and they both sat there and watched the sunset.

"I don't think I've seen a better one. Pretty, just like you." Eraser whispered, causing Teardrop's face to go slightly red. She couldn't help but smile at Eraser's very poor attempt at flirting. It was both funny and charming, and Eraser caught on too cause he started laughing. "I'm not the romantic type, if you could tell." Eraser then admitted, looking down at Teardrop.

From Teardrop's point of view though, it seemed like he was at least attempting to be romantic, with all the affection he was giving. As the sun finally set over the edge of the sky, the two got back up, and Teardrop grabbed her laser gun. Eraser, seeing that she did that, rushed back to where he put his gun, and picked it up off the ground.

"I see that you're ready for round two..." Eraser chuckled, before taking fire at her. Just like they had been at the beginning of the afternoon, they were back to dashing around the hotel and the outskirts of it, attempting to shoot each other down. Per usual, neither of them won, but this time, that wasn't the point. They weren't rivals anymore, at least not after today they weren't. They weren't even just friends, considering they had spent a few hours cuddling up on each other. They were partners, both in love and in crime. And that crime is keeping everyone up all night with their game of laser tag.
