In minding keep, I did deceive
Now wide awake, in truth I grieve
In despondency's grip, my body's weak,
From tears that fell, forever and seethe
I bled, I sweat, I became my sleep
A blend of hair and bone and meat
Alone I face a fearful fate
As a lake, I'm drowning in trait
Take me down, where tears foresee
I want to see, the water set free
Take me down, to where I've wept,
To witness how this mournfulness crept.
You want to know about hidden cries
To see the truth within tired eyes
I broke my mind, unraveled there
It's cut and tarred beyond repair
I lie awake, my bones don't break
I lie awake, I'm fully awake
