At midnight's hour, when all the world is still,
The darkness reigns, in silence soft and deep,
The moonlight dances on the windowsill,
And stars above their watchful vigil keep.
The world is hushed, as if in whispered prayer,
The clock strikes twelve, a chime that cuts the night,
At midnight's hour, the worries disappear,
And all is bathed in soft, ethereal shimmer.
The secrets of the night come out to play,
In Cimmerian deep, where mysteries unfold,
At midnight's hour, the world begins to sway,
And visions and fears and fantasies take hold.
Oh midnight, with your magic in the air,
You captivate us in your silent stare
