I had already worn the new sneakers I bought yesterday and was waiting for them.
"You look adorable even without any make up!" Mackie said as soon as she saw me at the front door.
"Wha- no I.. if anything you look mature and pretty without any either." I returned the compliment while blushing and clearly flustered. "Ummm... Rama you also look really cute..." I thought that I should compliment Rama as well but that sounded terrible. "That sounds weird coming from me... Sorry forget I said anything, that sounded terrible, really sorry girls." I was extremely ashamed of what I just said as I didn't know how I should have returned the compliment or to compliment in the first place. I thought that I sounded just like an idiot to my own two friends...
"Why are you apologizing, it's fine to return the compliment!" Rama said.
"Yeah really." Mackie agreed with a laugh.
"You're not weirded out by me?" I asked looking at the floor and avoiding meeting their eyes.
"Of course not! Why would we?!" Mackie patted my back and pulled me for a quick hug. Rama joined her briefly before I pushed them back quickly.
"Girls please don't forget I'm actually a guy!" I said with the reddest face possible. Turning around immediately.
"Yeah sorry.." they both apologized. "We kind of just forgot that you're still new to this whole ordeal." Rama added.
"Just a moment Zackie!" Mackie said and started fiddling with her bag. All of a sudden I felt her spraying something on my back, I turned around and she kept spraying her perfume on me.
"He-hey! Stop why are you putting perfume on me?!" I asked while trying to stop her from spraying.
"You smelled like nothing, I had to spray you with perfume so that you're more normal if that's normal to say. This'll help you get used to this a bit easier I think." She answered.
