As I sat at the dining table having breakfast and looking at my phone, Anna brought up the topic of the cards my mom had given me.
"No, I haven't thought about them," I answered.
"Why not?"
"I just don't like them, Anna."
"I know, but-"
"That's enough," I interrupted, standing up from my chair, wiping my mouth, grabbing my backpack, and heading off to university.
I got into the white Mercedes and instructed the driver to start driving.
Upon arriving at the university, I quickened my steps towards my classroom. Upon stepping inside, I observed Jennie already seated with her phone. Upon catching sight of me, she waved and grinned. I approached her and took the seat next to her.
"Sorry for the delay," she remarked.
"I must have overslept," I replied with a smile.
"But Mr. Lee hasn't shown up yet," she observed.
"I was starting to get worried I was late," I responded, organizing my books.
Then, Mr. Min entered the room and everyone greeted him.
"You can take your seats," he announced cheerfully.
"Since Mr. Lee has left the university, we have a new professor for you," Mr. Min explained, introducing Mr. Jeon.
As I glanced towards the door, I was taken aback by the sight of the man entering the classroom.
Dressed in a white shirt and black pants, with his hair slicked back and tattoos on display, he stood beside Mr. Min.
"I'm your new Professor Jeon Jungkook," he introduced himself, and Jennie's eyes widened as we made eye contact.
"Damn it," I muttered, as Jennie suppressed a laugh by pursing her lips.
"Why are you giggling?" I hissed at her.
"I can't help it, it's hilarious," she said, making me roll my eyes and focus ahead.
"This kind of thing always happens to me," I groaned, hitting my head.
The person standing in front of me is the man I kissed at the club last night, and to make matters worse, he is now my professor.
I let out a sigh as I observed him, noting how attractive he was with girls already swooning over him. I nervously bit my lip as he caught my eye, causing me to quickly look away.
"Let's begin," he said, delving into the starting material that we had already covered with Mr. Lee.
"Relax, just chill," Jennie quietly advised as I gave her a skeptical look. "I feel like giving up," I muttered, looking straight ahead.
He continued to lock eyes with me, but I chose to ignore the connection. All the emotions from that night came flooding back, causing my gaze to drift towards his lips.
The memory of how he held my waist and everything else - I cut off my thoughts by staring out the window, trying to distract myself.
I didn't realize an hour had passed, but today seemed really long.
"So tomorrow I will give you a test to see how well you've grasped what Mr. Lee has taught," he said with a deep breath, gazing at me.
"I want to gauge your understanding," he said, I quickly looked away and clearing my throat.
Upon hearing we could go, I quickly packed up my things and rushed out of the classroom despite Jennie calling my name.
As I rushed towards the cafeteria, someone grabbed my wrist, stopping me in my tracks. To my surprise, it was Choi Yeonjun, smiling at me.
"Hey?," I asked
He nervously scratched his neck and replied, "Uh, Aeri."
"What's the matter?", concerned, I asked him,
He handed me a small letter and I asked, "What's this?" However, Yeonjun stopped me from opening it, saying,
"My brother San gave it, don't open it yet."
"San?", I asked as Yeonjun nodded.
Our attention was then drawn by someone clearing their throat behind us , and when we looked, we saw Mr. Jeon.
"Why are you both in the hallway? Go back to your classrooms," Mr. Jeon glared at us.
"Nothing", yeonjun answered
"I have a lecture at the moment," I said, glancing at Yeonjun.
"Hey, I have a lecture too," he nervously smiled.
"Aeri, remember to open it," Yeonjun shouted as I gave him a thumbs up.
"Of course," I nodded and headed back to class.
Choi San, who was my senior, confessed his feelings to me, but I turned him down because of my mom's restrictions on relationships. However, it wasn't just that; I never felt any romantic attraction to him. Despite my repeated refusals, he is persistent and constantly asks me out on dates.
