Long Time No See

"Addy it's not that far away and we don't have to stay long!" Brooke screamed in my ear over the phone.

"Brooke it's a party full of 18 year olds! Christ my brother is probably going!" I shouted in a sort of whisper voice.

"Adeline would you stop bugging out, it's one party for a little while. Also there will be more than just 18 year olds there! Come on Ad, please?" She begged me.

"Brooke I already told you, my parent's won't let me!"

"They would if I'm going! Actually, my mom already said I could go to Kaylee's birthday party"

"Woah Kaylee's birthday party?"

"What my mom does know won't kill her" I could hear the smirk in her voice.

"Ugh whatever let me go ask" I hung up before having to hear her thank you's.

Walking into the kitchen I saw my mom sitting at the table reading a book. My dad was in the living room. The real question was, who to ask? Mom was always bitchy so that was hard but dad was really over protective so that was hard too. Approaching dad I used the same lie that Brooke used.

"Hey daddy I have a question" I said flashing a huge grin to fake an act.

"Hey sweetheart, what can I do for ya?" He asked smiling back, not catching mine was fake.

"Well Brooke just called and asked if I could go to Kaylee's birthday party, would that be alright?" I asked smiling again. My dad wasn't so much worried about the party, more  Brooke driving. He'd been that way since she first got her license.

"Well Addy I don't know, is she driving?" He asked just as a guessed he would.

"Yeah dad she is but it's okay because we'll be home before 9, or we'll get a ride home if we want to stay later." I explained. Brooke was 17 turning 18 in 2 months so she couldn't drive after 9.

"Well I guess so, just please be safe. And don't do anything you know you'll regret" he glared at me still smiling.

"Of course dad, I'll text you when were leaving" I replied turning on my heal to leave.

"I love you" He shouted after me.

Turning around I smiled "Love you more dad" I walked away before he could argue.

I shot Brooke a quick text saying "Come get me I'm ready"

10 minutes later I was climbing in her car getting ready to go to a party I didn't even really want to go to.

The music was so loud I could hear it over the music playing in the car.

When  I walked in I didn't notice anyone. I walked around for a few minutes then turned the corner spotting someone I knew. Harry, who was my friend way back from preschool.

"Hey" He approached me before I could even walk to him.

"Harry!" I said hugging him. "How are you?" I asked releasing our grip.

"I'm okay, been better" He replied shrugging. "I didn't know you really came to these kinds of parties..." He said trailing off.

I pointed to Brooke across the room with a red cup already in her hand. "She dragged me." I said as he laughed.

And that's basically how it went for hours. I had one mixed drink with vodka but that's all, I wasn't even close to drunk. I walked across the room to Brooke after saying my goodbye's to Harry.

"ARE YOU KIDDING?" a man's voice shouted over everyone making the room go silent as I approached Brooke.

"What's going on?" I whispered in Brooke's ear.

"YOU OWE ME MY MONEY" The same voice shouted again. No doubt he was drunk and it was a drug related problem.

"Drug deal" She whispered trying to back away but failing because of the people now surrounded in a circle with us right by the center. Next thing I knew the same man pulled out a gun and pointed aimlessly and everything went black.

"CALL 911!" I heard as I felt my body collide with the floor.
