The drive to the hospital was quiet, but a comfortable quiet, filled with the sound of soft music and the rhythmic hum of the engine. Felix leaned back in his seat, stealing glances at Hyunjin, who kept his gaze fixed on the road but would occasionally glance over with a reassuring smile. There was an unspoken understanding between them, a silent agreement that they were facing this together.

Felix was kind of nervous, his hands crumpled on his lap. The alpha sensing his nervousness glanced at Felix for a brief, then offered a quiet smile, "Hey..." Hyunjin softly muttered, placing a hand on Omega's shaking hands, he gave a reassuring squeeze on it. Releasing his pheromones to calm Felix. Felix took a deep breath, feeling a sense of relief he leaned back to the seat.

Once they arrived, the nurses ushered Felix through the routine check-up procedures, leaving Hyunjin waiting just outside the examination room. Felix could feel the apprehension building as the doctor ran through a series of questions, noting his symptoms—fatigue, nausea, and the persistent feeling of numbness.

Finally, the doctor returned, a calm but slightly surprised look on her face. She adjusted her glasses and looked at Felix, her gaze softening. "Well, Mr. Hwang Felix," she began gently, "we've done some tests, and I have some news that may surprise you."

Felix's heart pounded as he waited, nerves tightening in his chest. "What… what is it, Doctor?"

A small smile appeared on the doctor's face. "You're pregnant."

Felix went blank within the doctor's declaration, contemplating whether he heard correctly or...

The door of the room creeked open almost in a hurried way, there entered Hyunjin with clear concern and worried expression. His eyes fell upon the Omega who glared at him with a blank expression.

"Felix?" The alpha uttered his mate's name, stepping closer to him. His glance changed to the doctor standing there with a bright smile, "Mr. Hwang congratulations, your Omega is pregnant," she announced even before Felix said something.

Felix looked at Hyunjin nervously, anticipating Hyunjin's reaction, but the alpha didn't react much afterward, let's say he had mixed emotions like he himself couldn't comprehend his thoughts about it.

He just bit it back, the doctor didn't pay much attention to their reaction as she began to enlighten the couple with the information about what they should do during the pregnancy period, what would be the symptoms and how to deal with it.

"Mr. Hwang, during this period, your Omega will be highly sensitive," the doctor continued, her tone gentle but firm. "Both physically and emotionally. It's important to provide him with as much support as possible—especially since this will be a time of many changes."

"And Felix," she added, her gaze returning to him, "remember to communicate any discomfort or concerns you have, no matter how small. Pregnancy affects everyone differently, and it's important to take things one step at a time."

Felix nodded, unsure about what was going on in his husband's mind. He clearly remembered that Hyunjin had said he wasn't ready to be a father yet, and now this, what if Hyunjin would ask to abort it. He stared at his husband trying to find any glimpse of his emotions but couldn't.

His hands instinctively went to his stomach, keeping it there for a moment. He took a deep breath, mentally preparing himself for the future that upheld? Hyunjin hadn't said anything yet, he was just nodding at the instructions of the doctor, that made Felix have a mixed feeling.

It wasn't like he was any better to be a mother already as he was still continuing with his education and job but if Hyunjin was willing to keep the pup, he wouldn't deny it. Hyunjin had every right to make the decision.
