"Stay fucking still!" Katie's frustration seeped through her clenched teeth.

She was determined to cover my face with an array of creams and powders. I begged her not to yet she had a mind of her own.

"How do you even know what shade to use?" I flinched as she dusted more powder onto my eyelid.

"I got this scanner," she grinned, brandishing a small device that resembled a smartphone.

This scanner was the latest gadget from Apple, capable of analyzing any surface or object it was pointed at and reporting the color. It was impressive technology, but how could you trust its accuracy?

Who's to say they are just not giving you a shit color and of course the people fun with it.

"Uh-huh," I murmured in response.

"Just stop moving, okay?" she sighed, using her other hand to keep my eyelid steady.

Makeup was never my thing. The thought of slathering my face with products to create a 'better' version of myself felt wrong. Every time I tried, I ended up with breakouts, and the results were never what I hoped for.

"We're leaving in 20 minutes!" Chris shouted from the living room.

"Shut it, grandpa!" Katie shot back.

I couldn't help but snicker, which earned me a sharp tug on my face from Katie.

"I'm almost finished," she muttered, mostly to herself, as she carefully applied liquid eyeliner.

As I sat there, I contemplated taking some pain relief before the concert. It had been ages since I last attended one, and I knew my body would be aching afterward.
I definitely needed some alcohol in my system to make it through a night with these two.

"Perfect, you look amazing," she said, stepping back to admire her work.

"You always know how to flatter me," I teased.

As she stood to slip on her shoes, she tossed me a pair of boots. The outfit was surprisingly cool. The jacket was my favorite part; the light caught the tinsel just right, making it shimmer and shine from every angle.

Katie emerged in a bodysuit adorned with snakes. They slide up her body from her ankles and made a pattern around her waist and across her chest.

"Your outfit is absolutely adorable!" I exclaimed.

"I know! I put so much effort into it; I can't wait to take pictures!" she beamed.

"Alright, ladies, I'm heading out!" Chris called.

"Shit, let's go!" Katie exclaimed, grabbing my wrist and pulling me toward the door.

Katie hummed from the front seat, "We need to go over some important things you should know."

"Like what?" I chuckled.

Chris jumped in, "There are specific chants you'll need to learn."

"Chants? Are we in a cult now?" I replied with a straight face.

"Not at all, silly!" Katie laughed.

"So first, during 'Delicate,' we're going to shout, '123, let's go, BITCH!'" she declared.

"You're calling her a bitch?" I snorted.

"During 'Bad Blood,' Taylor will—"

"I love you both, but there's no way I'll remember any of this," I interrupted.
