"someone so useless that all they do is take up space"
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Minho was exhausted. Sweat dripping down from his chin, his tee shirt was all wet underneath his jacket, his hands were trembling but there was no way he was loosing this one.
"Just give up man!" The man in front of him exclaimed, panting harder than him, on his knees, just like he was.
"I have to win this! I need the money bro!" The guy exclaimed from which looked like his last breaths before he passed out.
Minho smirked, spiting down a mixture of saliva and blood from an injury he got a few minutes ago while dancing. Propping up one knee, he stood up straight, the cheers of the crowd around him increased. It was deafening and Minho had tuned it all out. He was sure the man wouldn't last another minute before he passed out... and Minho was right.
He looked at the man's eyes rolling at the back of his skull, letting out a painful moan, his body slumped down to still. His team members rushed to get him. Minho recognizes them. He had faced off with each of them, lost a couple of times but his win/lose ratio was far too unbalanced.
"Jennie noona!" He called out to one of the girls from his supposed rival team.
A girl came to him, wearing loose camo as her lavender hair were tied messily at the back, she smiled at Minho while approaching.
"Good battle Lee Know." She smiled, shaking hands with him. Minho didn't have enough energy to reply so he just nodded, taking his price money and giving some of it to the girl in front of him.
"This is about $200, help your teammate." He spoke in a hoarse voice. Her eyes widened and she shook her head, pushing the money back.
"No, this is not right. You won it fair and square." Her voice was firm. Minho let out a long annoyed sigh, grabbing her hand and placing the money in them.
"He needs it for the operation right? Take it." He replied lazily.
"How do you know..?" She asked in a whisper.
"I have my ways." Minho signaled to his side where Felix stood, who greeted Jennie from a distance. Her expressions changed, becoming a little grateful.
"I'm not doing charity noona." Minho cleared. "Let Sunwoo hyung know that he owes me as soon as he gets out of the hospital."
Jennie chuckled with teary eyes, nodding back to Minho.
"Take care of yourself. If there's anything I can ever do to help you, let me know." Jennie stated before bidding her goodbye and disappearing in the crowd.
That was the last bit of energy Minho had left as he felt his knees giving out. This dance battle had been tough, he was continuously facing from the past four hours, dancing till his best. The cheers and crowd in the underground run down place had just added to his heat and nausea. His body felt light but before his knees could hit the ground there was already a pair of arms supporting him from the shoulder.
He let out a breath and took a peak at the side only to see Hyunjin holding him up with a warm smile.
"It's okay leader... you can rest now." He whispered.
Minho remembered giving out an airy smile before his vision blurred, finally turning black and he lost all his senses.
Waking up from fainting was an unforgivably familiar territory for Lee Minho. It was a shameful thing he would have never proudly said in front of anyone, it was like announcing how weak he was. But now he woke up, with a little sound in his head, a pain creeping to the back while his throat felt like it had cracks.
