"(n.) The best time to do everything you had planned for today."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hello?" Changbin groaned, half asleep, feeling a little headache creeping through.
"Oi, wake up already." The guy on the line spoke. Changbin was too asleep to make out who it was. "I've been calling you from the past hour."
He groaned again as he did the impossible task of peeking at the caller ID.
"Chan?" He asked.
"Finally.." The line replied.
"What do you want at this hour?" He whined.
"This is the seventh time I'm telling you." Chan sighed and Changbin could imagine him rolling his eyes. "Get ready and meet me in an hour. I've sent you the location."
Changbin understood some of that sentence, but that made no coherent sense to him.
"What is an hour meet?" He asked.
"Oi!" Chan let out frustration. "Not hour meet! Meet me in an hour!"
"Don't fucking shout." Changbin complained.
"It's not that early, c'mon get up." Changbin let out a strangled noise before opening his eyes and looking at the location Chan sent him.
"Hey, this is not school."
"If it was... WHY WOULD I SEND YOU THE LOCATION!?"
Changbin cringed, pulling away the phone from his ear.
"Now please, for the love of God... wake up and get ready or we'll be late." Chan pleaded.
Changbin hummed, accepting defeat. Although all his body wanted to do was to go back to sleep in the warm blanket. After all he was brought up like a feather. Groaning for the nth times, he cursed the moment he met Chan. Before finally going to wash up.
If there was something Seo Changbin hated more than bugs, it was these celebration events his families organized. Whether it was some birthday gala, launch of a new product, business meeting, he hated them them with a passion. But it was a deal, his father understood the language of a deal.
He was allowed to stay on the campus on the deal that he would attend every single event they hosted, or if it was something important to the family name. He had to be there and be presentable, talk to everyone as if he was a part of this money minded family. Maybe he liked them when he was little, but that was a long time back.
He changed to his usual clothes, packing up all the things he carried. His laptop, headphones, music note books. His room was big, if he combined three of the dorm rooms together, then maybe it would come somewhere near the same size. His closet was just a whole different room attached, same with the bathroom.
It was minimalistic, unlike his dorm room which was decorated with posters, polaroid and album covers. Granted by Jisung who loved to paste things on wall, saying that they are memories.
"Can't you stay for a little longer?" His sister asked, leaning against the doorframe. "At least stay the night."
Changbin sighed, leaving his duffle bag for the time being. Gathering his thoughts before turning around to face his sister.
"I'll loose my mind if I stay longer." He replied, eyes glancing at the fancy suit he wore not too long ago. Something completely opposite of what he liked to wear.
Ever since he could remember, those clothes were never made for him, always getting in the way of what he wanted to do. He liked playing around, but the suit would get dirty. He liked going to gym, but too much muscles don't look good in a suit, he wanted to sing and rap but those suits made him look like nothing more than a waltz doll.
