Twi Twi (Bella and Edward x Oc)

The next week me and Bella waited for Edward to come to school so we could follow through with our plans but each day was fruitless and I could tell Bella was getting more restless.

It was strange that he's been gone all week, we could write it off as a family emergency if his siblings didn't come to school but he was the only one missing and I was suspicious.

This morning me and Bella saw Charlie pull the truck in. We walked over to meet him when Belle slipped on an ice patch but I caught her before she fell on her butt.
"Thanks May," she gave me a peck on the cheek. "No problem Belle."

Charlie hurried over, "You alright, no bruises?"

"Yep, ice doesn't help the uncoordinated."
Charlie sighed and patted us on the back, "Yeah. That's why I had some new tires put on the truck, the old ones were getting bald."
Belle looked moved, genuinely happy. It's not like Reneé's a bad mom but she's not the most attentive.

Charlie told us about the recent animal attacks. "Be careful you two, you're not in Phoenix anymore girls."

"Anyway, I figured I'd lend them a hand." Bella nodded.

"Be careful."
And I added, "yeah Charlie we don't want you hurt."

"Always am."
As he was getting in the car Bella quickly added "And thank you for the tires."

"Yeah. No problem."

After lunch I made my way to Creative Writing, the class that I was supposed to be in originally and why I got my schedule fixed. When I walked in the seat beside mine, that was empty, now sat the one Cullen that mysteriously disappeared.

When I sat beside him I could feel his stare, smoldering and hot.
I turned to him and half glared at him. "You've been gone all week."
It wasn't a question and I didn't frame it to be.

"Yeah I visited family in Alaska. You weren't in this class your first day." I nodded still holding my glare.

"You were an asshole to Bella our first day here." He had the decency to look apologetic, he looked away for a second before he turned back to me "I..I was having a bad day, I plan to apologize to her during class today."

I let my glare dissolve but told him seriously, "you better, I'm not too happy you made my girlfriend upset Cullen."
I sighed and pulled my notebook from my bag, "and I had to change my schedule because I was put into the wrong class."

Before anymore could be said the teacher walked in and started the lesson. The whole class I could feel his gaze on me.

About half way through class the teacher put us into groups with our table mate. I turned to him and sighed putting my chin into my hand, "you know staring is rude, right?" He grinned a boyish smile that made heat flush into my cheeks.
"You don't seem to like me very much." I gave him a shrug not denying it.
"I don't know what you expect, the sooner you apologize the sooner we can get on good terms Edwardo."
He shook his head, "you might not want to be friends with me Maeve," I suppressed the shiver at hearing my name roll off his tongue and raised my eyebrow at him, "and you think you know what I want?" The challenge in my voice seemed to make Edward do a once over and he grinned as the bell rang.

I put my stuff away and hurried out of the classroom, Edward walking up beside me.
"Why are you following me?"
He glanced at me "I'm gonna walk you to class."

The way he said it made me think he actually wanted to, but I shook my head and made a shooing motion with my hand, "no you're not, I'm walking belle to her class," I paused and added, "which is your class and you two aren't on a good terms right now so..." I gave him a shrug and walked away this time, he didn't follow.

I made it to Bella and grabbed her hand making her jump a little bit.
"Sorry Belle, I didn't mean to scare you love."
She turned to me and gave me a peck and started walking so we won't be late to either of our classes. "Don't worry May, you didn't scare me to bad."

Erik started walking beside us and started to tell Belle about the dance I tuned him out until we reached Belle's class, "...and they need a guy to help choose the music so I need your playlist."
I could tell Belle was only half listening as she put her coat on a hook beside the door.
"Hey, listen, I was wondering, did you have a date to..." I glared at him but before I could tell him off Mike came up behind us, "What's up, Arizona? Huh?" He shook his wet hat over our heads, "how you liking the rain, girls?"

We looked at each other and rolled our eyes. I locked eyes with Edward before I gave Belle a kiss and waved goodbye before heading to my class.

The bell rang and I walked to Bella's class.
When I got there, her and Edward were standing there talking. They turned to me as I got closer. I kissed Belle's cheek as I stood beside her and looked at Edward, "did you apologize Edwardo?"

He nodded and followed me and Belle as we walked to our lockers.
"So why didn't you guys move with your mom and Phil?"
"Well Phil plays minor league baseball and travels a lot."
I added on when she paused, "and Renee would stay with us but we knew it made her unhappy, so Belle figured we'd stay with Charlie for a while."

He stared at us like he was trying to read us, "and now you're unhappy?" Me and Belle looked at each other then back at him and shook our heads.

"No."

Edward furrowed his brows, "I'm sorry, I just.... I'm just trying to figure you two out. You're very difficult to read."

"Hey, did you get contacts?" At Bella's mention I looked at his eyes and saw they were as beautiful as the rest of him, I shook that thought off.

"No"

"Your eyes were black the last time I saw you, now they're, like, golden brown." I looked at Bella and back at his eyes knowing she wouldn't say anything if she wasn't at least half way sure.

"yeah.. it's the uh...Must be the florescents..." He stalked off without another word. I looked at Belle and shrugged.

"Why is he so broody all of a sudden?" I shook off his behavior and pulled Bella to our truck.

We made it to the truck and Bella put her bag on the hood to dig out her keys. We both looked back to look at Edward, who was already looking our way. I turned back and dug through her bag as she continued to look at him.

A car horn blared making me and Bella whip around to look. We saw Tyler swerve out of the way of another car and skid right towards us.

I grabbed Bella and shielded her as best as I could but before the van could crush us Edward was suddenly in front of us and used his bare hands to push away the van. Me and Bella looked at him with wide eyes not believing what we just saw. Edward stared at us before he got up and went away. Soon enough everyone was crowding around us asking if we were okay. I looked at Bella holding her face.
"You're okay right?" she nodded and I pulled her to me and held her tight, sighing with relief.
