Gently placing the soft plush on my chest of drawers, I can't help but feel honored that he would make something like this for me. The ears are so soft I can't help but stroke them one more time before pulling away, satisfied with the way I have it sitting. It's a little odd that it's a plush of himself, but it's the thought that counts... and when hasn't he been a bit odd? The skill of the stitches is impressive, and all of the features just make it look cute instead of slightly threatening as he usually looks... maybe it's the grin? I wonder if he can even frown at all... well, that's not my place to ask. It would be rather rude. And he even set the date for, well, our second date. I'm glad it will be a bit more understated since I requested a coffee shop.
Turning to my desk, I debate what to do next today, the rest of my schedule clear. Maybe I should head into the lobby and see if anyone needs assistance? Even if they don't, then I would be near the kitchen, and I could whip up something tasty for an evening snack. I'm not hungry since the tea party was so filling, but I'm sure someone else would be peckish. With a plan in mind, I cheerfully head out of my room and down the hall, not bothering with slippers. The click of my hooves is pleasant, and I wonder why I prefer going without shoes so often now? It just feels more natural, even when I have quite a few to choose from.
Well, I'm not one to linger on my body and all of its oddities. If I did, then I would have spiraled into confusion at the very start. Reaching the lobby, I glance around finding plenty of candidates to talk to, confronting me with a decision. I could go to the bar where Husk and Angel are chatting, or I could go to the couch where Vaggie and Charlie are doing some sort of... crafts? There is glitter, colored pencils and glue, so I'm sure it's some sort of craft. Torn between the two, my decision is promptly made for me, Angel clocking me from the bar.
"Hey, toots, come here, I want ta' talk ta' you about somethin'!"
"Okay, I'm coming," Heading over to the bar, Angel looks giddy, rocking on the barstool with a cheeky grin. "Yes, what did you want? Is there anything I can help out with?"
"Yes there is," he grabs my shoulders, practically shaking me, "I want us to go to tha' fuckin' club tonight! It'll be a chance ta' get ya' accustomed to hell, Xzel, it'll be fun!"
"The... club?" I ask incredulously, the cresting of static announcing another arrival into the room.
"Yeah, we'll dress up and get out of tha' fuckin' hotel where you can experience hell firsthand. Me and Husky will be escortin' you so it doesn't break tha' rules." A heather gray palm with red tipped fingers eclipses my view, detaching Angel's hands from my shoulders and tugging me backwards a little.
"No, that is not going to happen." Alastor says shortly, the change in atmosphere alerting the ladies from on the couch. This has turned into a whole thing, hasn't it?
"What's not going to happen," Vaggie asks with a frown, Angel scoffing and rolling his eyes.
"I think Xzellera should have a chance ta' actually get out of tha' hotel for once. I'm invitin' her to come to tha' club with me and Husk as her guards or somethin'..." He puts a hand on his hip, other set of arms crossing in front of his fluffy chest, "anythin' ta' get her out of tha' house and experiencin' where she is for once."
"Yes, I agree," Husk mutters, "She can't stay inside forever like some sort of prisoner. It was the right decision to keep her inside before, but now that heaven has refused to take her, she's not so different from everyone else. She needs to learn."
"Absolutely not," Alastor scoffs, hands resting on my shoulders as he peers over my head, face framed by my antlers. "She is not ready to leave the hotel for something like that. Plus, I doubt she would even enjoy going to a place like that in the first place, my friend." I feel caught in the middle between a storm, Angel glaring into the face of the man behind me as Charlie, Vaggie and Husk watch on.
