As I reappear back in Mimzy's, the atmosphere is dead quiet, my static oozing into every corner of the room. I can feel a cold rage gnawing away at my insides as I stride towards the center of the room, everyone's eyes on me as I go. Angel and Husk are still at me and my doe's table, sour expressions across their faces. Reaching the center, I set the end of my microphone down sharply, no click ringing out dur to the carpeting.
"Now that my darling is out of the room, I can address this properly," snapping my fingers, the slip of paper, tipped with pink if once more in my fingers, Angel looking at his hands where it was before. "It seems someone in this room thought it was a wise idea to slip an aphrodisiac into my doe's drink. Would anyone like to make this quick and admit to their wrongdoing?"
Sending my gaze over the gathered sinners, none of the pale trembling creatures make any move to speak. As I expected, this coward must be smoked out, or discovered. If only this were not Mimzy's place, I would simply rip it to shreds... but most of these sinners are even my acquaintances. I know it would not be them, unless they have a death sentence, which leaves me... one more check around the room... about twenty different individuals who could be responsible.
"I see, no one wishes to step up to the plate and be judged. Very well, Mimzy, come here." I beckon her with a finger, and she rushes up to me, clearly still nervous that I intend to ruin her carpets. "Why don't you point out who here is not a regular, since I doubt, they would be this stupid. Of course, if they are... that is an entirely different issue, now, isn't it?"
"Uh, sure thing," she scans the silent crowd, sinners seeming to be frozen in place, a few seeming to be praying to disappear into the woodwork. She begins to point out sinners one by one, "He's new, so is that broad. That one too..." like clockwork, she singles out the twenty individuals I had noticed before. She may be rambunctious, but she picks up on more than she lets on. The sinners who have been singled out look as if they have been sentenced to death, cold sweat running down their foreheads... except for a few. Ah, it seems there are a few new sinners here... that is the only reason they have no healthy fear of me. I can change that, even if they are not the perpetrators.
"All of you who have been singled out, line up for me." The majority of them do so, with the few left-over bristling.
"Yeah, and who the fuck are you to tell us what to do? Yeah, it sucks that your bitch almost got roofied, but how the hell is that my problem?"
A bolt of white hot rage runs through my stomach, a ripple of groans and curses going through the others in the room. Eyes narrowing and grin widening, I take a step towards the fool, lightly bringing my microphone further up in my hands, a good grip on the handle.
"Care to repeat that, my friend? It seems you must be new, if you do not know who I am." Out of the four, the one who spoke seems to be their little leader, puffing up his chest.
"I don't care who you are, you smiling freak, and I'm not your damn friend!"
"Fucking idiot..." Husk murmurs on the sidelines, while Mimzy seems excited for my next move. And with the rage in my body? Why, I am not one to disappoint.
"Oh-hoh~ You are right about one thing, I am not your friend," slipping my hand to the bottom of the handle, this fellow isn't worthy of magic, and I simply swing the head of my microphone towards his face. He isn't even able to move as it collides with his skull, sending pleasant reverberations through my hand, a delightful crack greeting my ears. The sinner slumps to the floor as I simply flick the blood off my microphone. "Now what about you three? Still have a little bit of fight in you?"
"What the fuck, you bastard!" One of them hisses, lunging at me, a quick shift in my hand, and I land a clear strike against his ribs, the creaking and subsequent cack resounding through the room as he is sent backwards, slamming into the corner of a table, he back snapping at an odd angle. A scream tumbles out of his throat, simply music to my ears as there are only two remaining.
