"Bro I can't believe this" says REYNA.
"Nothing like this has ever happened in our school".
"What was the point of this" LILY looks at the two of them and puts her hands together and rubs them.
"Are you cold?" asks TRISTAN.
"Ah just a little. It's ok, I don't live far."
"Here you go" the boy takes off his sweatshirt "You'll feel better like this" and puts it on the girl's shoulders.
"You're so amazing" the girl smiles at him.
REYNA looks at them with a hint of knowledge. "Oh, when will I find my beautiful prince charming with a hoodie."
TRISTAN laughs. "When you will stop being so cold. Boys like a cute and nice girl." he looks at LILY lost in her eyes.
"But there are also boys who like imposing girls" LILY tries to make her feel better and then whispers to the boy "That wasn't nice of you" TRISTAN just looks at her "I'm not nice to everyone either" .
"And if you don't stop, you'll regret it Mr." REYNA approacheshim after his last sentence.

The boy raises his hands in defense and stands behind LILY and the girl just laughs at the two's antiques.

AMARI sees her friends and heads in their direction. On the way she passes by the "rival" group. DAMIEN holds MADDIE by the shoulders, JAKE keeps looking at the crowd of people and SUZY looks at AMARI and stops next to her.
"How are you feeling?" the girl had a sympathetic look on her face.
"It could have been better." the girl looks down "This whole thing...was too much.".
"Yeah I know. I mean who would want to do that. I understand that this high school sucks but still."
AMARI nods but doesn't say anything else.
"Do you have any spare clothes?"
"The year has barely started, I didn't have a reason to
take any"
SUZY opens her bag and rummages through it.
"Here" she hands her a t-shirt.
"Oh no no, I can't accept it."
"Oh come on, it would be a burden to walk home in this now red shirt" she grabs her hand and hands over the shirt. "Plus take this as a peace offering. I was thinking of working on that project together..."
"Oh yeah sure. Well thank you very much, I'll bring it tomorrow clean"
"Mhm. See you later" she hurries towards her friends who were already at a significant distance".
"See you later" the girl says behind her but too late to be heard.

REYNA, TRISTAN and LILY hurried to the girl in unison.

"God what kind of psychopath would do something like that" REYNA replies angrily.
"I know. It took me a while to do my hair and now it's ruined" TRISTAN touches his hair.
REYNA glares at her friend and AMARI glances at him and points at her clothes "Which position would you rather be in?".
"Oh AMARI this is terrible. If you want I can give you some changes. I have something in my bag" LILY smiles at her.
"Ah it's not ok. SUZY gave me this shirt".
"SUZY? You mean SUZY the popular girl who can't stand us?" TRISTAN asks.
"Yes, that SUZY. And besides, we're going to do the project together, we should have become friends" the girl looks back to where SUZY had left.
"This day really couldn't have been any weirder" TRISTAN remarks.
"However, what reasons would someone have to do this?" LILY asks.
"Fame, revenge, boredom..the list goes on" REYNA says looking at the crowd that had dispersed.
"Something smells fishy." AMARI puts her hand thoughtfully on her chin.
"And I guess we're going to find out something about this?" TRISTAN grins and then looks at each girl understandingly.

At home AMARI wants to forget everything that happened. The way she felt when everyone's eyes were on her or when she was hit with tomatoes. She wants to know who could have done this and more importantly why? AMARI was also thinking about the nice moments of today, the fact that she finally saw her friends again, that she made a new friend, that SUZY offered her a shirt to change into. Then the girl looks towards the hallway, at the washing machine where the girl's shirt is and her heart starts to pound. She realizes why she feels this way but doesn't want to admit it, the only thing she can say is that she is a lot like her mother.
