TW: This chapter contains some triggers, it talks about death, excessive blood, abuse.

It was a gloomy evening, with a piercing wind that hit the facades of the buildings like a constant hiss. The sky was filled with heavy clouds, and the moonlight, barely visible through the dark cracks, gave the landscape a strange, almost spectral glow. The air wasn't just cold – it was sharp, like a fine blade that penetrated through the layers of clothing, forcing you to pull your coat closer to your body. The streets were deserted, except for a few wind-swayed lanterns casting their shadows on the wet asphalt, creating a chaotic dance of light and darkness.

The school auditorium rose like a dark mass in the middle of the forbidding courtyard. The massive wooden doors, with old, creaky hinges, seemed to hide more stories than they could reveal. From inside, a faint, flickering light could be seen, spilling over the steamed-up windows, but that did nothing to ease the feeling of unease. The atmosphere was heavy, oppressive, as if the place itself had witnessed something that no one dared to speak of.

AMARI didn't know what she was doing here. She thought a lot about whether to come or not, whether to face her fears or not. After all, what could go wrong? It was possible that what her friends kept repeating was true, it was a prank played on the entire school. But why did she feel so emotive? Even though she was normally much more emotive, tonight it was different, as if something was pulling her from behind to turn around and go home.

The girl stands in front of the school until she can't stand the cold anymore and decides to go inside. To her surprise, the school was open but at the same time deserted. She didn't even dare to shout if there was anyone around, fear took over her.

She heads towards the auditorium with small steps, being attentive to any sound around her.

...
Quiet...

The girl slowly turns in the direction of the loud noise. To her surprise it was just a small yellow ball that reached her feet. The girl picked it up and looked where it came from and barely noticeable she saw a shadow.

She thought she was delusional or maybe was trying to calm herself down by saying nothing is there. The girl heard footsteps from a distant corridor and quickly hid behind a curtain.

She waited some time till the footsteps were heard more vividly, covering her mouth to prevent any noise escaping but her tears where already doing so.

Suddenly her curtain is being pulled away from her but she is trying to grip it with her whole strength.

"Who the fuck is here?" she heard the person say. It was a familiar voice, she knew it but couldn't quite put her finger on it.

The force was too strong so the curtain was eventually pushed away, revealing a scared AMARI and, to her surprise, a pissed DAMIEN.

"Did you send me that text." he angrily said.

The girl shook her head instantly and looked at him with teary eyes.
The boy looked at her skeptically but decided to leave it, seeing the stage she was in.

"Then did you get it too?" the girl nodded.

"Say something dammit." the boy backed away from her and crossed his arms.

"I think we should go home." she said quietly.

"Now why would we do that? I want to teach that fucker a lesson."

"Then I will go home." but she couldn't move because he grabbed her arm. "You came all the way here so why leave now when the fun is just about to start."

"I- uhm. Leave."

"Jesus" he shakes his head "Wipe you tears, you don't want the enemy to see you weak." the girl quickly did as she was told.
