I came out of my thoughts as I heard David, the chauffeur, call out, "Ma'am, we are here." I nodded, collected myself, and stepped out of the car. My eyes landed on the grandeur hotel before me-a towering masterpiece of luxury. With a sigh, I entered through the grand lobby doors, my heels clicking against the polished marble floor.

A man in a black suit approached me almost immediately.
"Hello, Miss Roy. I'm Orson, Mr. Salvotore's personal assistant," he said with a formal nod. I responded with a small and a slight nod of acknowledgment.
"Please, follow me. Mr. Salvotore is waiting for you," Orson added before gesturing for me to follow.

We walked down a long corridor, his brisk pace making me slightly annoying . When we reached the end, he opened a pair of heavy white doors, revealing a grand round dining hall. A long dining table sat at the center, with several people already seated around it, their conversations fading as I stepped inside.

"You mentioned wanting to introduce someone special," a woman's voice echoed in the room, but the moment the doors opened, all heads snapped toward me.

Darius's eyes immediately found mine. His jaw tightened, and his gaze darkened as his eyes scanned my attire-a cream jumpsuit tied neatly with a bow at the front, my hair cascading down my shoulders, paired with red lipstick, white heels, and a matching purse. His displeasure was palpable. I couldn't help but smirk, knowing full well I had deliberately defied his order to wear the white slit gown he'd sent earlier.
