Also this will be kind of short. Also this takes place right after the episode where lapis Steven and Greg go on a ship.

As lapis tentatively approached the barn, she could already hear peridot's rapid keyboard typing. Peridot was on twitter again. She finally heard Lapis' footsteps come from behind her, and as soon as she saw Lapis' expression, she frantically typed one last thing on the keyboard before quickly turning off the device. Lapis was crying. Peridot had seen her sad many times, but she's never seen her crying. And she never learned how to properly handle it either. "Lapis!" Peridot greeted her nervously running up to her side as she entered the barn. "Y-you appear to be eye-sweating- eye...Steven told me the name but I forgot- This indicates sadness which means...are you okay?" She asked carefully, recalling Lapis' previous mood swings and how she'd tooken care of her accordingly.

"Jasper.." Lapis said before cutting herself off and collapsing into sobs on the wooden floor. Peridot leaned down towards her worriedly and offered a hand to help her up. "Jasper? What about Jasper?" "She's *stuck* in my head...I know she's gone but...but today she...and now it's like I- I don't know what to do but I just need to say the words and.." Lapis let out her messy words without taking Peridot's outstretched hand. "What do you mean-" "I want- I wanted her!" Lapis cried out. Peridot stared, confused, as Lapis' hands flew to her mouth then down to her chest. "Why would you want her?" Peridot asked. Lapis just shook her head. "I-I can't explain...it got worse when I saw her...today...I thought it went away...I'm sorry..."

"Don't be sorry. You can't apologize for your feelings. Steven told me that..." Peridot trailed off, but she looked away. "Would you want to go...back with her?" Peridot asked, finally pulling her hand back. But lapis grabbed it and pulled Peridot down with her as she cried out desperately. "NO! NO- No..." "Okay, then.." Peridot said, but she didn't know how to finish her sentence. "Well then you're having an unhealthy attachment response that can be common with situations like yours and linked to PTSD and you probably don't actually love her, you just need some time away from her like before that's why it got worse...when...um..." Lapis cracked a smile as Peridot trailed off. "You're such a dork, is this stuff you're learning off the interweb?" "...Yes." Peridot answered instead of the usual response she would've given. She was just happy that Lapis seemed to be smiling which people usually do to express some forms of joy though it does vary a lot I mean but "Can we..." Lapis pointed to the hammock. Peridot grinned giddily just like she always did whenever camp pining hearts was mentioned. "Continue dubbing Connie's fanfic since we already dubbed Lars' and since Connie's had turned out to be objectively just a better version of Lars' because-" Peridot smiled sheepishly once she realized she was rambling. "Yes. I'll go get a blanket and my tablet."

Peridot closed the final chapter of the 60 chapter fanfiction (yes it's still Connie's but yes they did touch grass this is like a time skip they like read one to like five chapters every night :P) as Lapis started to drift off to sleep in her arms.
"Please don't have any nightmares tonight." Peridot said before giving Lapis a little kiss on the forehead. "Goodnight Lapis. I love you."
"Love you too, Peri...thanks for...everything..." And she was snoring. Peridot smiled before closing her eyes.
