**Izuku**

Two years. Two years since I started to hurt myself.

Three years since I stopped showing joy to everyone but Mum.

Four years since I joined Aldera.

Five years since I moved to this hell hole.

Seven years since I was diagnosed quirkless.

Seven years of pain, torture, sadness, isolation.

I kicked a stone, sending it skidding across the rough pavement of the alley. It hit the wall and cracked in two, falling to the ground.

I let out a sad chuckle, "Why me.. why did it have to be me. What did I do to deserve this.. what did I do?!"

The last part came out as a choked scream.

Bakugo had put me through hell today. My chest had never fully healed from the cracked rib and he had managed to re-break the same wound. The school nurse had told me "Shoo! I have more important things to take care of.", before kicking me out of his office.

It hurt so bad.

A soft thud behind me put me on high alert.

I span around (mistake with a broken rib) and moved backwards, watching the shadows.

"Hey! I didn't mean to scare you. Sorry kid."

A small, balding man came out of the shadows in an adjoining alleyway. He had a white coat and some weirdly thick glasses on.

"N- no worries.."
I took a breath, stopping in my tracks.

"If you don't mind, would you be able to direct me to the shopping centre? I seem to have taken a wrong turning and have gotten myself lost."
The small man rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at me awkwardly.

"Oh.. it is just to the end of this alley and to the right."

"Thank you young man, here, some money for your troubles."

The man reached into his coat pocket, taking out a few coins.
He came forwards to give them to me but tripped, dropping his money over the floor.

"Oh dear lord.."

"Don't worry sir, I will pick it up for you."

"Thank you child, you are too kind."

^Yeah.. that's new to hear.^

I knelt down, picking up the coins from the floor.

I was about to stand up again to give him the coins when I heard a grunt and something hard hit me around the back of my head, knocking me out cold.

"Hey kid, you up?"

A voice came from my side, familiar in a way.

My back and head was killing me, my entire body feeling heavy.

"Ngh- my head hurts like hell."

I raised my right hand to my face, pressed down in one of my eye sockets to try and clear the stars blurring my vision.

"That would make sense seeing as I knocked you out."

"You- you what?"

I moved my hand from my face, opening my eyes and looking up to my side.
