*NO POV*
"Izuku, baby, do you remember me?" Inko knelt in front of Izuku, her hands on his knees as she looked up into his face, "I'm your mum, remember?"
Izuku had been transferred to the hospital three days prior, extreme dehydration, malnutrition, and exhaustion having left him in life threatening danger - however, Izuku hadn't known this, his body so used to it, it had become normal. Chisaikai had been killed, but no heroes released this news to the public. Over the last the last three days, no one had been allowed near to Izuku, not after seeing his drug-induced quirk. Food was given to him through a cat-flap in the door, along with water. Some heroes of course opposed the idea of treating him like a savage animal, but had no control over this - not like much more could be done.
"Izuku, please. I'm sorry for sending you to that school. I'm sorry for not protecting you." Inko sobbed, her hand resting on the back of her hands.
Izuku looked at her indifferently, hands resting on his lap, heavy bandages weighing his arms down. Though he had been able to talk to the doctors a few days ago, his body seemed to have shut down partially, no longer allowing him to talk. The doctors had been wary to administer him anything whilst he was awake, not knowing what he had gone through in the lab, so had to treat him whilst he slept (which was not very long, he was a light sleeper and woke easily).
"Please, Izuku, please answer me." She pleaded, looking up at him with teary eyes.
"He wont answer to that." A tired voice muttered, leaning against the doorframe.
Inko let out a hysterical - disbelieving - laugh, "Don't be silly Shouta, that's his name!"
"Inko.. you're lying to yourself, and you know it. You heard him the first day he was here, and the doctors tried to get him to talk. He insisted his name was Aurmaros, that he was a monster." Aizawa hesitated before continuing, "They broke him, Inko."
"Izuku wouldn't hurt a fly! Would you?"
Aizawa keeps quiet, knowing that no-one told Inko that Izuku had killed, many times. He could feel his heart breaking seeing Inko so desperate to reach her son, and her son unresponsive.
"ErasureHead, the girl is asking for Midoriya again. Should we let her in?" A doctor asks, standing beside him in the doorway.
Aizawa nods slowly, "Yes- it may snap him out of whatever state he is in."
Inko slowly stands up, retreating to the chair by Izuku's bed, crestfallen. Soft pattering comes from the door and Eri ran in. The footsteps made Izuku look up, and his eyes widened seeing her.
Eri had been extremely unstable for the last few days. Her quirk had spun out of control seeing Overhauls death, relief of freedom, and panic of what was to come more than she could handle in her fragile state.
She sat on the bed beside Izuku, worried for her friend. No one could blame her, Izuku looked like he had gone through war.
